    HR Project Partners is currently accepting resumes for a Mechanical Estimator (Piping) on behalf of one of our clients.
    In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and piping scopes across a range of infrastructure and civil projects.
    This is a remote role based in Canada with preference being given to candidates who reside in Eastern provinces. Travel to Head Office in Quebec as well as to sites will be required.
    Bilingualism (English + French) is considered an asset.
    Essential Job Functions:Review engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed mechanical and piping estimates.Quantify materials, equipment, and labor requirements with a high level of accuracy.Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.Identify cost risks, value‑engineering opportunities, and constructability considerations.Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment with project scope and client expectations.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry pricing, construction methods, and mechanical/piping standards.
    Education and Experience Requirements:Technical degree/diploma/certification or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related fieldExperience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally within the civil construction sector.Strong background in piping systems, mechanical installations, and related construction practices.Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office tools.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
