This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic performance metrics and targets while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Additionally, the Production Manager will drive workforce effectiveness through strategic hiring, role assignment, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Here’s what you can expect in your role: • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment. • Develop and implement strategic performance metrics and targets aligned with company goals. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards across all levels of the Manufacturing and Packaging departments. • Lead workforce planning, including strategic hiring, role assignment, performance management, and disciplinary actions. • Manage and allocate project resources effectively to meet operational and production goals. • Oversee project management processes, ensuring milestone planning and timely completion of deliverables. • Supervise production supervisors, operations coordinator and operations associate to ensure work is performed according to established standards and operational expectations. • Plan and manage department workloads and workflow to optimize efficiency. • Translate strategic company goals into actionable initiatives and operational improvements. • Provide leadership in employee relations through clear communication, coaching, training, and professional development. • Conduct employee performance evaluations, providing regular feedback, coaching, and formal assessments. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by offering ongoing guidance and support to staff. • Set clear expectations for employees, ensuring alignment with performance objectives. • Organize and coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating tasks. • Ensure compliance with cost control measures, waste reduction strategies, quality standards, safety regulations, and on-time delivery objectives. • Oversee quality control processes, ensuring high standards of workmanship and operational efficiency. • Monitor departmental outputs to ensure alignment with safety regulations, production schedules, quality benchmarks, and customer requirements. • Lead and participate in quality investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary. • Oversee all manufacturing and packaging procedures, including equipment setup, production processes, and inspections. • Conduct and participate in site and workplace inspections to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. • Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders within the Manufacturing and Packaging departments. What You Bring You're a mix of curious, collaborative, and purpose-driven. Your experience and perspective might include: • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a production-related field or equivalent industry experience. • Minimum of 5 years experience in a production/manufacturing environment, including some supervisory or leadership experience. • Relevant certifications or licenses in the production/manufacturing industry are preferred. • Proven ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables. • Lean Six Sigma certification at Green Belt level or above. • Strong analytical, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage teams. • Ability to plan, organize, develop, and implement goals, objectives, and policies effectively. • Skilled in delegating tasks, setting clear expectations, and monitoring progress to ensure accountability. • Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate teams to meet and exceed performance goals. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and implement creative, strategic solutions. • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure or urgent situations.
