Who is this position for? We are seeking a junior employment lawyer who is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their legal skills. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in employment or labour law (preferred) and is passionate about advocating for clients in workplace-related matters.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting with client files under the supervision of senior lawyers Drafting legal documents , including pleadings, mediation briefs, and motion materials Conducting legal research and analysis Attending mediations, hearings, and discovery proceedings Representing clients in negotiations and settlement discussions Engaging in oral and written advocacy Collaborating with senior lawyers on complex legal strategies
Requirements: Licensed to practice law in Ontario 1+ years of experience in employment or labour law (preferred) Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Law school transcripts must be submitted with the application
Compensation & Work Arrangement: Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year (commensurate with experience) Hybrid position (in-office & remote work flexibility)
