What You Will Do
Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements. Conduct external and internal financial statement audits for both public and private companies. Leadership of field engagement teams as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff members. Perform analysis of complex accounting issues. Perform financial and systems analysis. Develop and maintain relationships with clients.

What You Bring To The Role

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
In British Columbia, the expected base salary range for this position is $58,000 to $90,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. KPMG’s Business School (KBS) Audit is committed to building the Audit professionals’ knowledge and skills to maintain and uphold audit quality in client work. Towards this end, the KBS supports their professional development through development and delivery of high quality, interactive web-based and instructor-led training. We are currently looking for an eager Learning Designer to join our team with a strong opportunity for further career development in the future to support the development of web-based learning.
What You Will Do
Map technical course material (facilitator guides, slide decks and exercise materials) and apply instructional design principles to produce cohesive and effective courses (web-based and instructor-led training) with measurable outcomes on technical audit and accounting topics, using rapid development tools. Manage the development of courses, ensuring timelines are met and resources are appropriately utilized. Develop and maintain training related forms, job aids and materials. Engage with clients and Subject Matter Experts and other stakeholders to ensure content and delivery align with business goals and learner needs. Test effectiveness of courses on the learning management system and document findings. Maintain project documentation and course folders. Serve as a technical resource for programs that are internally developed and presented.

What You Bring To The Role
Post-secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Instructional Design and Adult learning. 5+ years proven working experience as an instructional designer for web-based and instructor-led training. 3+ years project management experience. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS PPT. Experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems). 2+ years’ experience with Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline). Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write effective instructional text. Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment. Intellectual curiosity, analytical acumen, strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Adept at relationship building and open to feedback. Programming savvy an asset. Familiarity with other eLearning technology and authoring tools such as Captivate, Camtasia or similar an asset. Audio/video editing skills an asset.
This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG.
