    About the opportunity:

    The Production Manager has overall accountability for assigned processing department in a plant of standard operation and/or small volume. The position is responsible for department results in safety, product quality, reliability, productivity and operating costs. Responsibilities also include management of projects (capital, cost savings and CI) and championing process improvements as well as raising the level of accountability productivity and decision making of all reports.

    The attributes we are looking for:

    - Manage production by measuring, analyzing and executing corrective actions for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and People. Plan and execute production and labour schedules to produce the required volume ensuring that measures are met including cost control, within specification and quality requirements including HACCP, PQMS, and customer requirements.
    - Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance by being a role model in safety and demonstrating due diligence through applying the corporate health & safety program elements. These focus on incident prevention through hazard identification, implementing necessary controls, training, education, and audits. Where necessary, take corrective action to address unsafe situations and employee behaviours, uphold Parmalat's cardinal and other safety rules and procedures, and communicate with appropriate resources to address any hazardous conditions or unsafe employee conduct.
    - Provide leadership and supervision to staff by hiring, reviewing performance and providing feedback, determining training and development needs, and providing coaching and work direction. Promote a team focus on excellence in all activities including those required to support safety, operational productivity, quality, loss reduction, people development, and cost improvement.
    - Support plant and corporate objectives by developing, communicating, and executing annual goals and strategies.
    - Manage the department's budget by controlling, monitoring and justifying expenditures versus plan and manage accordingly.

    What you will bring:

    - College diploma or University degree preferably in Engineering, Food Science or Biochemistry
    - Five (5) years' experience in production leadership position in manufacturing, preferably dairy, including experience in improving plant performance and developing organizations and people
    - Ability to implement best practices in operations management
    - Knowledge of high-speed filling, packaging equipment and processing systems
    - Knowledge of CIP processes, SAP or automation systems
    - Leadership, planning and execution skills including strong communication and organizational skills
    - Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
    - Financial and budgetary skills
    - Bilingual (where applicable)
    - Knowledge of Kaizen and SMED concepts
    - Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), as well as business systems such as SAP

    This plan will help align the brand strategy with a pricing strategy and contain key tactics to drive the desired results. Mix Management - Drive product, customer, and channel mix to higher Sales / gross margin items
    Trade Terms - Margin management – optimize customer trade terms and agreements
    To effectively inform the RGM Strategic plan, you must work closely with the Sales Account teams to understand the nuances and considerations of operationalizing strategy changes with key customers. Liaise with divisional specialists in Industrial, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to understand capacity limitations/opportunities and commodity inflation that may lead to the development or refinement of RGM strategies.
    Lead company wide RGM training on an on-going basis to help embed this new capability for Lactalis. This would involve multiple training and workshop session organized by the five pillars of RGM: List Price, Trade, PPA, Mix, Customer Agreements. This involves monitoring the retail promotion landscape across Key Accounts and channels, PPA actions, as well as understanding competitors' pricing to inform strategy.
    Conduct event-level ROI analysis, and effectively communicates insights and findings to RGM Director and Customer Leadership Teams
    Completed Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finances, or other relevant field. Must have had previous experience in Revenue Growth Management.
    Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales, trader marketing or finance business experience, in CPG, preferably in FMCG
    and an understanding of their integration with other information management and forecasting systems.
    Proven functional/technical understanding and know-how across trade promotions specifically, in relation to the "4 P's" (Promotional Strategy, Promotional Analysis, Promotional Implementation and Promotional Tools) Direct experience in, monitoring & analyzing trade promotions, including creation of accurate promotional pre & post evaluations using ROI measures.     The Process Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the effectiveness of all aspects of the processing department including safety, quality, cost, and reliability. General areas of responsibility are day to day operation of the department and coordinating / executing all maintenance and troubleshooting in processing, contractor supervision and project supervision. The position is also responsible for sanitary maintenance, training, and development of Process department employees and HACCP compliance in all areas of responsibility.

    Ensure planning and effective implementation of sanitary/mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance programs and schedules to facilitate optimum process department performance by performing onsite verification on SAP work orders.
    Efficiently organizing the work in the mezzanine to ensure adherence to production planning. [Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance by being a role model in safety and demonstrating due diligence through applying the corporate health & safety program elements. These focus on incident prevention through hazard identification, implementing necessary controls, training, education, and audits. Provide leadership and supervision to staff by providing work direction, performance feedback, and recommendations for training and development. Ensure compliance with the Company's corporate and legal obligations under the Collective Agreement (where applicable), as well as various statutes and regulations such as the Employment Standards Act, Workers Compensation Act, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
    Support operation of the processing teams to ensure that quantitative and qualitative measures included in the operating plan are met, including those related to standard costs, cost reductions, productivity, health and safety, GMP, sanitation, customer satisfaction, production scheduling, staffing and capital/technological improvement plans by measuring, analyzing and executing corrective actions in these areas. Promote a focus on excellence in all production activities including those required to support optimal quality, yield and cost containment, and minimal re-work or downgrades.
    When assigned, ensure timely and thorough sanitation of all equipment and facilities to allow for efficient and on-time production start-up and delivery of products to customers.
    Participate in the development and implementation of operational and capital budgets, safety compliance, training and production plans by monitoring results against plan and support corrective action plans accordingly

    Minimum two (2) years experience in food production supervision and minimum 8 years technical experience in processing equipment and automation
    Experienced as a supervisor and/or providing leadership to production teams in dairy or related food or pharmaceutical industry. Certified and/or experienced in the supervisory responsibilities under WSIB, OSHA, and First Aid an asset

S'assure que tous les éléments défectueux sont renvoyés au fournisseur approuvé et que la note de crédit correspondante soit obtenue.
    - Supervise l'introduction et le retrait du matériel de conditionnement en lien avec le lancement de nouveaux produits et s'assure que les pertes attribuables à l'abandon du conditionnement restent minimales. Formule des recommandations concernant l'abandon progressif et l'adoption des mises à jour.
    - Assure la liaison entre le service de la commercialisation et les fournisseurs lorsque des modifications sont apportées au texte ou au conditionnement, afin que les fournisseurs aient les illustrations appropriées et qu'ils soient au courant des dates de lancement.
    - S'assure que tous les articles abandonnés soient éliminés en temps opportun et conformément aux exigences de Lactalis Canada.
    - Maintient les stocks aux niveaux cibles en contrôlant l'inventaire du matériel de conditionnement et des ingrédients dans le SAP et en commandant le matériel requis en fonction des niveaux déterminés.

    Ce que vous apporterez:

    - Diplôme d'études collégiales ou universitaires en gestion commerciale (avec majeure en chaîne d'approvisionnement), un atout
    - Certificat en gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement ou en logistique, un atout
    - Trois (3) ans d'expérience dans un domaine connexe
