    Primary function Seeking a skilled and experienced PeopleSoft professionals to join our Information Technology team in a role that encompasses security administration, business analysis, development, and application support.     Key accountabilities

    Design, configure, and maintain security roles and permission lists within PeopleSoft.

    Manage user access requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

    Perform user provisioning and de-provisioning.

    Provide reports and documentation to support internal and external audits.

    Collaborate with IT, HR, Finance and other business units to ensure security requirements are integrated into system designs and processes.

    Communicate security policies and procedures to end-users and stakeholders.

    Test and apply PeopleSoft patches, upgrades, and fixes with a focus on security features.

    Ensure compatibility of security settings with new system updates.

    Develop and implement plans to mitigate identified risks.

    Investigate and resolve PeopleSoft security-related issues.

    Provide technical support to end-users experiencing access or security issues.

    Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, procedures, and protocols.

    Develop and update security policies to align with organizational needs and industry standards.

    Analyze, design, develop, configure, test, and support PeopleSoft applications.

    Support upgrades, new module implementations, and troubleshoot production issues

    Translate business requirements into technical documentation and system enhancements

    Performs additional technical and system administrator tasks related to this role as required

    Required Skills & Experience

    University Degree in an information technology, computer science discipline or related working experience.

    5 years+ experience with PeopleSoft as a security analyst, system analyst, administrator, or developer.

    In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, security models, roles, and permission lists.

    Experience configuring and managing PeopleSoft user profiles, role-based access control (RBAC), and permission lists.

    Experience with tools like PeopleSoft Application Designer (Classic and Fluid), Data Mover, and Integration Broker.

    Experience conducting security audits and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.

    Experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks.

    Knowledge of incident response frameworks and best practices.

    Experience with identity and access management (IAM) tools, single sign-on (SSO), and multifactor authentication (MFA).

    Familiarity with encryption, SSL/TLS protocols, and data masking techniques.

    Basic understanding of programming languages like Java, PeopleCode, or scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

    Ability to create scripts for automation or custom security enhancements.

    Ability to identify security vulnerabilities and devise effective solutions.

    Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset for troubleshooting issues.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document policies and interact with technical and non-technical teams.

    Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and other business units.

    Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new PeopleSoft updates, tools, and organizational needs.

    Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.

    Experience working on projects related to system upgrades, migrations, or security enhancements.

    Primary Function The Family Senior Counsel Program has provincial scope and complements LAO’s existing mixed model of private bar and duty counsel services by providing financially and legally eligible clients with another option for high‑quality, full‑scope representation. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting vulnerable clients on a wide range of family law and child protection matters, up to and including representation at trial. Representation will include but is not limited to acting as counsel of record to certificate‑eligible clients.     Key Accountabilities

    Act as counsel of record for certificate‑eligible clients unable to secure private bar lawyers in family law and child protection matters.

    Represent family law and child protection clients through all stages of litigation up to and including trial, with an emphasis on providing assistance for vulnerable and hard‑to‑serve clients.

    Serve as mentors to Legal Aid duty counsel, staff lawyers and private bar roster lawyers, providing coaching and support where needed.

    Participate in community outreach presentations and projects.

    Participate in legal education initiatives.

    Ensure high quality of legal work in a cost‑effective manner.

    Maintain conflict lists, record data and produce reports as required.

    Access to a vehicle or ability to rent a vehicle is required as this position will require travel.

    Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned and remain adaptable and flexible in a changing environment.

    Required Skills & Experience

    Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario with a minimum of 5 years family law experience.

    Fluency in French, and/or in languages other than English and French, will be considered an asset.

    Demonstrated experience representing clients in family law matters and advanced knowledge of all relevant family law legislation, including the Divorce Act, Family Law Act, Children’s Law Reform Act, Family Responsibility and Support Arrears Enforcement Act and Family Law Rules.

    Demonstrated experience representing clients in child protection matters and advanced knowledge of all relevant child protection legislation, including the Child, Youth and Family Services Act and An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families.

    Demonstrated experience dealing with complex family law matters and strong knowledge of relevant family law legislation and in particular child protection law, including in‑court experience.

    Demonstrated experience providing legal services for clients that are Indigenous, racialized, or from other vulnerable client groups, including domestic violence survivors and those experiencing mental health challenges.

    Ability to work collaboratively with Legal Aid Workers, staff lawyers, paralegals, per diem duty counsel and managers.

    Knowledge of the Legal Aid Services Act and Regulations, and a strong understanding of LAO as a public service agency.

    Demonstrated ability to use the latest communication technologies including tablets and smartphones and the ability to utilize video conferencing platforms to deliver services virtually.

    Advanced knowledge and experience with computer software including, but not limited to: DivorceMate, CaseLines, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

    Client services are delivered both remotely and in-person based on client‑driven needs and court attendance. The successful candidate(s) must be able to commute to the office(s) listed above.

    Key accountabilities Family Senior Counsel Program The Family Senior Counsel Program provides certificate‑based legal services aimed to improve access to justice for some of our most vulnerable family law and child protection clients, including those who are experiencing intimate partner violence, mental health challenges and members of equity‑seeking groups. Our lawyers accept legal aid certificates and provide full representation to clients, from first appearance court, up to and including trial representation. In addition to direct client advocacy, the Family Senior Counsel Program also plays a key role in mentorship and legal education, providing training opportunities for staff lawyers, students and private counsel to cultivate professional judgment and skill.

    As an articling student, you will be involved in matters that may include:

    Assisting with complex family law and child protection matters, including motions, case conferences, and trials.

    Supporting vulnerable clients through trauma‑informed and culturally responsive advocacy.

    Drafting legal documents and conducting legal research in family law matters.

    Required skills & experience

    Eligible to undertake articles in Ontario

    Demonstrated commitment to social justice or public interest work

    Demonstrated excellent writing and oral communication skills

    Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgement

    Awareness of LAO’s statutory mandate to provide high‑quality client service to vulnerable populations such as racialized communities, Indigenous communities, youth, and those experiencing mental health or addiction challenges and/or homelessness

    Awareness of access to justice issues facing LAO’s clients

    Fluency in both English and French is an asset.

    Licensing fees

    LAO pays 100% of the Law Society licensing fees including application fee, barrister licensing examination, solicitor licensing examination, articling program/LPP/IPC fee, call to the bar fee.

    Ten days of paid time off during the articling period in accordance with the LSO requirement
