The General Manager will be responsible for directing and managing all business activities of the organization. Reporting to the President, you will: Lead and manage all business operations across Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Nutrition, Administration and Production. Oversee administrative and accounting functions, ensuring processes are effective, reporting is accurate, and aligned with business needs. Negotiate contracts required for business operations, including capital expenditures, with the Senior Leadership Team. Lead the development and management of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cost control. Work with the Senior Leadership team to support recruitment, retention and workforce planning Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and trust across the organization. Your background includes: 10+ years in senior management roles within the agriculture, livestock or animal nutrition sectors. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field. A Master’s level degree is an asset. Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in P&L management, budget development, cost optimization, pricing strategies and sales oversight. Proven track record of driving business growth, with a strong focus on strategy execution, market development and margin management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership, client relations and supplier management. Familiarity with the animal agriculture landscape in Canada, with an understanding of various livestock production segments. Ability to lead in a hands‑on, accountable leadership role within a dynamic operating environment Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Canada.
