  • Electrical Control Engineer

    THE ROLE You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge control systems.     RESPONSIBILITIES Communication with all stakeholders Schedule and planning of project work Providing updates to senior management Develop and review electrical control designs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory codes Developing Concept drawings Hands-on Commissioning: Lead the commissioning and handover processes, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria Conduct field checks to ensure construction quality and adherence to plans Create detailed specifications and ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and best practices Collaborate with facility managers to integrate control systems seamlessly into existing infrastructure Maintain and report on project deliverables in project management system Utilize your knowledge in HVAC control and Smart Factory technologies to enhance system efficiency and intelligence. Supervise and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
    REQUIREMENTS University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Minimum 5 years’ experience with Building Automation and Control Systems involving, setup, programming and commissioning Demonstrated involvement in medium to large-scale project management. Familiarity with HVAC control systems and Smart Factory technologies Hands-on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting control systems. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Willing and able to travel internationally or in North America by possessing a Canadian passport or B1 Visa. Must have a valid G/G2 Driver’s License PLC and Networking Electrical control circuit design Integrating individual mechanical systems to centralized building management system Metering of utilities including Electricity, Natural Gas, Compressed Air, Water Working knowledge of Building Automation networking hardware including protocols and hardware

    As a critical component to the facilities team, you will be responsible for maintenance and basic repairs for manufacturing buildings and automated machinery, as well as various general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, energetic and able to work as part of a team and at a fast pace.
    Duties Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs Preventative maintenance of building mechanical/electrical equipment, building automation, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems Perform repairs and/or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment Install, maintain and repair automated manufacturing equipment Promote GMP compliance Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Able to pass a Criminal background Check 3- 10 year’s practical experience Millwright license would be an asset. Electrical license would be an asset. PLC knowledge/programming would be an asset. Forklift license would be an asset.       Our client, a leading manufacturer of CNC heavy industrial machinery, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their Vancouver team. 
    Your primary responsibilities include: providing technical support in person or over the phone for customers, sales, and trade shows for CNC Machines. Complete time studies, test cuts and machine demonstrations as per customer requirements.  Design and fabricate fixtures/ work holding to facilitate the test cutting process. Define and troubleshoot manufacturing/machining processes. Perform application engineering work independently and set priorities with knowledge of company goals. To succeed in this challenging and exciting position, you possess the following experience and education: BS Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred, and/or machining knowledge. 3-5 years related experience. Strong written/verbal communication skills. Knowledge in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup. Intermediate understanding of Metallurgy. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Able to professionally communicate with varying levels of internal technical staff, external customers, and external suppliers.
