As a core member of the Investment Counsel Services (ICS) Operations team, the Senior Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality across all operational processes that support our Investment Counsellors (ICs) and high net worth clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving ability, and the confidence to act as a subject matter expert for non-standard situations or complex issues. The Senior Analyst will support both day-to-day processing and higher-level operational oversight, including triage of issues, supervisory support, process development, vendor interaction, and cross functional coordination. This individual will also play a key role in transition periods including end of month and Quarter-end initiatives ensuring operational stability and accuracy throughout key reporting and business cycles.
    Responsibilities Operational Excellence & Daily Processing Monitor daily batch file uploads and custodian feeds to ensure accurate and timely data integration. Conduct daily reconciliation checks to confirm alignment between internal records and custodian information. Process mutual fund trades on FundServ according to IC instructions, ensuring precision and adherence to cut‑off times. Prepare and submit security in‑kind transfer instructions and coordinate execution with custodians. Support private asset administration, including capital calls, redemptions, pricing updates, and transactional uploads. Execute quarterly management fee billing across all relevant account types. Set up referring advisors and ensure new selling codes are properly established in the system. Complete reviews of new account openings to validate data accuracy and regulatory completeness. Support annual tax reporting by reconciling tax data and collaborating with custodians to resolve discrepancies. Perform miscellaneous operational tasks, including corporate actions, book value adjustments, performance calculations, and ad hoc reporting. Issue Resolution, Triage & Subject Matter Expertise Act as operational triage: receive issues, determine the appropriate area to assist, and coordinate resolution across teams. Execute ad hoc issues swiftly and accurately, using sound judgment and operational expertise. Ingest complex or ambiguous information, assess impacts, and determine the most effective path to resolution. Serve as a subject matter expert for non‑standard, complex, or escalated operational scenarios. Provide supervisory support including workflow oversight, quality checks, and mentorship of junior team members. Investment Counsellor (IC) Support Partner closely with ICs to resolve operational questions, client account issues, transaction inquiries, and data requests. Support ICs through timely information delivery, escalation management, and operational troubleshooting. Provide clarity on processes and best practices to enhance client service and IC efficiency. Vendor & Custodian Engagement Build and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors and custodians. Participate in vendor meetings, contribute to issue resolution, and support ongoing service-level enhancements. Represent ICS operations in discussions related to system changes, data quality, and integration improvements. System Enhancement & Project Work Participate in system testing, vendor discussions, and broader operational initiatives. Support transition periods including end‑of‑month reporting and quarterly operational changes by contributing operational expertise. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, enhance automation, and elevate service quality. Qualifications University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline Minimum 3-5 years of experience in investment operations, private wealth management, custody operations, or asset management Strong technical skills, including Excel (advanced formulas, macros), VBA, and SQL Familiarity with FundServ, portfolio management systems, and custodian data feeds Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills (French an asset) High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and risk awareness Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Experience mentoring or providing supervisory support is an asset The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec. Position Responsibilities: Calculate and code the CPP/QPP offset and adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator upon receipt of CPP/QPP disability or retirement benefit approval. Calculate and code other offsets such as WSIB, rehab earnings, severance, and input the adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator Advise Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations both verbally and in writing.   • Reporting to the VP Regional Sales for Western Canada, the External Wholesaler is accountable for the development and implementation of a strategy that establishes Manulife Investments in our sales channels. Dealing directly with Financial Advisors, they will be responsible for promoting all products within Investments as well as providing a solution based method to selling.
