    Gannett Fleming Canada is looking for a construction management professional for the role of Construction Inspector to join our team in Toronto to assist in the management of transportation construction projects in the GTHA. Our construction management and inspection capabilities satisfy the most selective clients. We effectively control our clients’ costs, deliver their projects on time, and meet strict regulatory needs while maintaining long-lasting relationships from the pre-construction stage until long after project completion. Construction Inspector responsibilities include: Being the resident at the work site during construction activities and responsible for inspection examinations and report preparation. Establishing a safety-first culture for all projects. Inspecting work materials and methods to ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety, and quality standards. Maintaining daily inspection diaries, documenting activities, environmental events, progress, and as-constructed details. Issuing deficiency reports and following up on corrective actions. OACETT Designation (C.E.T, C.Tech, A.Sc.T). 3-5 years in construction engineering, including field construction and contract administration in Toronto/GTA. At least 1 year of construction management experience. Experience with Class 1 Railway and right of way is an asset. Proven on-site inspection experience in transit, commercial, or municipal infrastructure projects. Preference for experience on large-scale transit or transportation infrastructure projects.     The Project Engineer is the technical leader of a multi-discipline design team as part of CEM Engineering’s Project Delivery Teams. The Project Engineer supports a client-based project delivery process which includes consulting services, feasibility/FEED services, detailed engineering & design, and construction & commissioning support. The Project Engineer is an experienced engineer with a diverse background and a proven ability to lead technical teams to solve technical problems in an efficient manner. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinates the development of the project concept and leads the project from concept to detailed contract documents (Issued for Construction drawings and specifications).
