We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and manage retail construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail buildouts, remodels, or ground-up construction, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, contractors, and client expectations effectively.
As the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, the Project Manager will ensure that all phases of construction are executed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design and quality standards.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of retail construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
Lead project meetings and communicate progress with clients, design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Procure and manage subcontractors and vendors, including bid solicitation, contract negotiation, and performance oversight.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, quality control, and adherence to project plans.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues promptly.
Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
Oversee project close-out, including punch lists, final inspections, warranties, and turnover packages.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
~5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on retail environments.
~ Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects, including remodels, tenant improvements, and ground-up construction.
~ Proficient in project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
~ Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Experience working with national retail brands and corporate clients.
Must be able to travel to multiple project sites.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
