    ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Detailer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate fabrication drawings and files (DWG, SAT, STEP, etc.) and generating bills of materials (BOMs) based on shop drawings developed by our design team.The CAD Detailer works closely with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure the seamless transition from design to production. Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery capabilities, and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality outputs. A passion for precision and efficiency in metal fabrication is key.
    VACANCY STATUS AND LOCATION
    This vacancy is an existing position at Maxxit System Inc.
    This role will require 4 days per week on site at the Toronto office located at 1000 Martin Grove Rd, Toronto, Ontario, M9W 4V8.
    COMPENSATION
    The annual compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.00 commiserate upon experience.
    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    Detailed Drawing Preparation: Create precise, accurate, and detailed fabrication drawings and 3D models based on architectural designs and project specifications.Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with designers, fabricators, and project managers to interpret design intent and ensure designs are translated into functional, manufacturable details.Material Specifications: Define and specify materials, finishes, and construction methods, ensuring compatibility with project requirements and construction capabilities.Quality Control: Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards, and project requirements.Problem Solving: Identify potential issues in designs or drawings and collaborate with the team to find solutions that balance aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.Revisions & Updates: Respond to design changes or requests for revisions, ensuring that all drawings and models are updated promptly and accurately.Coordination with Fabricators: Communicate with the fabrication team to ensure that designs are feasible and provide support throughout the fabrication and installation process.Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all drawings, models, and correspondence related to the project.
    REQUIREMENTS
    Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, as used for creating productions files, including parametric design, design tables and creating macros.Proven experience (3+ years) in fabrication-related environments (metal, wood, glass, or other custom-building materials).Excellent knowledge of fabrication processes and construction methods.Solid understanding of material properties.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.Ability to read and interpret specifications and shop drawings.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Experience with other 3D modeling software (such as Rhino / Grasshopper).Familiarity with project management software or tools.Previous experience in custom fabrication or working with architectural metal, wood, and glass elements.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Monitor workflow and adjust resources as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.Maintain high-quality standards throughout the fabrication process. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents.Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance.
