McEwen Inc. currently has an opening at our Fox Complex Sites for a: Haulage (UG Driver) Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, the Haulage position is responsible for safely hauling broken rock from a heading or stope to a specified dump point. The Haulage Driver must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge and dedication to safety, production methods and equipment care. Other duties may include equipment maintenance, cleaning and assisting with the training and mentorship of other miners. Other duties will be assigned, as necessary. Operational / Technical Execution Preform circle checks on equipment in accordance with policies and procedures. Meet production targets by working in a safe manner. Operate 30-, 40- or 50-ton haulage trucks. Haul rock from a heading to a dump point. General Administration and Controls Maintain a high level of housekeeping in all areas. Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. Other duties that may arise from time to time. Qualifications and Skills Requirement Must be authorized to work in Canada. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation. Ability to work safely, efficiently, and always maintain a safety conscious mentality within the Mine environment. Highly motivated to learn/train and become part of the McEwen Mine team supporting all the processes with professionalism. Experience working in an underground environment. Basic Hard Rock Common Core is an asset. Underground haulage experience preferred. Applicable specialty modules. Willing to work shift work. Ability to lift 50 lbs. McEwen Inc. currently has an opening at our Fox Complex Sites for a: HD Mechanic Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for servicing and maintaining the full range of light and heavy equipment as well as vehicles operated by the mine (such as, scoop trams, pneumatic and electric/hydraulic jumbos, utility vehicles and a selection of stationery equipment, such as, tuggers, slushers, etc.) and to perform the most complex diagnostic and repair work. They will interact with Mine employees, supervisors, coordinators, managers and JHSEC. They must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge of and dedication to safety and production methods. Operational / Technical Execution: Inspect service, diagnose, repair, assemble, rebuild, and maintain mobile underground and surface equipment such as LHD’s, drills, haul trucks, loaders, skid steers and surface vehicles. Inspect, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, rebuild, and maintain stationary equipment such as air compressors. Perform general overhaul work on equipment and vehicles. Make field repairs as needed. General Administration and Controls Accurately update records related to work activities. Keep work area clean. Keep abreast of changes to industry standards. Determine equipment repair needs or estimate costs of repairs. Propose necessary changes to systems, procedures, and equipment. Communicate status of repair, maintenance, or fabrication work. Ensure safe operations, inspect all components on a weekly basis for irregularities, malfunctions, and record and log all inspection reports. Underground and surface mining environments- may have to work in areas that are dusty, hot, and noisy. Qualifications and Skills Requirement: Legal to work within Canada. Valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation. A valid trade certificate is required. 3-5 years experience as surface/mine mechanic – underground/surface experience and experienced on a variety of mobile and stationary mining and surface equipment. Common Core Certificate/Accreditation for Underground Hard Rock Mining Skills considered an asset. Must possess a provincial or inter-provincial ticket for underground heavy mobile equipment and knowledge/experience on light mobile equipment. Valid First Aid Certificate considered an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills to propagate technical information within a team environment while ensuring duties are performed in a safe and responsible manner. Good safety knowledge and understanding with the ability to recognize hazards and situations that may cause problems.
