JOB SUMMARY This role combines the analytical depth of a Senior Business Systems Analyst with the hands‑on expertise of a WMS Consultant and the strategic vision of a Solution Architect. It focuses on the advanced configuration, optimisation, and ongoing support of the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring it meets the organisation’s logistics, warehousing, and supply‑chain objectives. This senior role is essential for analysing business needs, implementing Blue Yonder solutions, and architecting scalable WMS solutions to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and support the company’s growth. As a senior team member, you will guide the strategy and execution of critical projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure our solutions remain forward‑thinking and aligned with evolving business needs. You will work closely with our clients, operational sites, and user community to ensure we provide the best possible solution and support. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Analysis & Solution Design: Lead in-depth analysis of complex warehousing, distribution, and logistics requirements, translating these needs into detailed functional specifications and systems design for the Blue Yonder WMS. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project requirements, identify system capabilities, and document business processes that can be enhanced through the WMS. Design and architect scalable Blue Yonder WMS configurations and solutions that align with long‑term company goals, ensuring scalability and adherence to industry best practices. System Implementation & Configuration: Lead the implementation and customization of the Blue Yonder WMS, including set‑up, configuration, and testing, ensuring alignment with long‑term business goals and operational efficiency. Oversee and participate in integration efforts between Blue Yonder WMS and other key systems, including ERP, TMS and order management systems, ensuring seamless data flow between systems. Customize and fine‑tune Blue Yonder modules and configurations to align with business workflows and optimise for efficiency, accuracy, and speed. Solution Architecture & System Optimization: Design and implement advanced system solutions that improve warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and productivity, with an emphasis on long‑term scalability and performance. Architect and implement advanced WMS features, automation, and innovations to streamline warehouse operations, inventory management, order management, and reverse logistics. Continuously assess and adjust the system architecture to ensure it meets future business needs and integrates seamlessly with evolving technology solutions. Support & Continuous Improvement: Lead post‑implementation support, troubleshooting, and optimisation efforts to ensure sustained system performance, user satisfaction, and ongoing business process improvement. Identify, recommend, and implement strategic enhancements to the WMS to drive long‑term operational efficiencies and cost reductions. Act as a senior subject matter expert (SME) on the Blue Yonder WMS, providing thought leadership and guidance on best practices, new features, and system innovations. Training & Documentation: Mentor and train junior analysts and operational teams, ensuring proficiency in the use and administration of the Blue Yonder WMS. Create and maintain comprehensive technical and user documentation, including training materials, system configurations, process flows, and system architecture diagrams. Lead knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams, empowering them with the expertise required for troubleshooting and system maintenance at a high level. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between IT, operations, and external vendors to align WMS configurations with broader business strategies. Drive and lead cross‑functional teams through strategic initiatives, ensuring the alignment of WMS solutions with organisational goals. Conduct periodic reviews and strategic planning sessions with stakeholders to assess performance, gather feedback, and identify areas for system or process improvements. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience with Blue Yonder WMS or similar warehouse management systems, including implementation and configuration. Proven experience with business systems analysis, solution design, and/or solution architecture within the supply‑chain or logistics environment. Demonstrated leadership experience in cross‑functional project management and business process analysis, including the ability to mentor junior analysts and lead teams in successful project delivery. Experience working with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and align system implementations with business goals. Experience in industries such as 3PL, retail, e‑commerce or manufacturing is preferred. Experience with Azure, Power BI or other data analysis and reporting tools is an asset. TECHNICAL SKILLS: In‑depth knowledge of Blue Yonder WMS modules, including inventory control, order fulfillment, picking/packing, shipping, and receiving. Advanced knowledge of integration protocols and tools, including API, EDI and SQL for data management and reporting. Proficiency with Blue Yonder configuration tools, business logic and system architecture for customizing solutions. CORE COMPETENCIES: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with non‑technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a high attention to detail. Ability to manage and lead high‑impact projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
