The Role North Star: Make our clients famous by finding innovative ways to break conventions, cut through the clutter and garner attention through various mediums (earned, paid, owned, shared). Driven to create and manage best-in-industry PR. Build trust with clients as dedicated advisors by elevating their profiles through results-driven and thought-provoking communications programs. Grow and maintain strong relationships with media, talent, and influencer network members and internal creative, strategy, production, and accounts teams. The ideal candidate for this role is a problem-solver who's always thinking about their team and how to help it grow. We're looking for someone strategic, confident, and energetic with a proven track record in PR. You'll report directly to the President and play a major role in growing a dynamic team. You will be responsible for the following: Big picture thinking and making it happen: Develop compelling public relations strategies and campaigns for consumer, lifestyle, and corporate clients Collaborate with our strategy and creative teams to support “big idea” thinking with a PR lens Drive organic client growth; educate clients on all in-house services; analyze business results and report on key insights; and develop action plans to address opportunities. Budget planning, invoicing, forecasting and management; accountable for team hours tracking and forecasting. Serve as the senior client contact; maintain close relationships and build ongoing trust through dedicated and strategic counsel. Exhibit a solid understanding of client information, including general business strategy, industry issues and key stakeholders. Oversee ways of working with media, talent and influencers; get ahead of industry trends and develop best-in-class processes and procedures Drive agency fame among B2B (creative, PR, XM, advertising industries) and B2C audiences, including agency PR, awards, thought leadership, etc. Drive agency business (P&L) and ensure the strategies and work delivered against KPIs. Gatekeeper and shepherd of creative excellence for the group of clients in charge. Assist team with media relations if required; accountable for all PR program results Lead and/or support the agency’s new business opportunities Leading and Growing the Team: Manage a team of Account Managers, Account Executives and Coordinators. Develop and oversee teams’ performance, ensuring quality work, efficient processes, and prompt handling of client requests. Demonstrate behaviours consistent with Mint’s values and require direct reports to do the same. Lead by example; demonstrate strong work ethic, creative abilities and industry expertise. Budget planning, invoicing, forecasting and management; accountable for team hours tracking and forecasting What We're Looking For in Our Next Head of PR You've got at least 8 years of experience in public relations, and at least 2 of those were spent leading the charge (either at an agency or in-house). You've run successful PR campaigns for many clients across different industries and have the results to prove it. You're a creative and strategic thinker with a history of PR wins. You can manage and mentor a small team. You know the Canadian media landscape well and have a solid network of media relationships and key contacts. You've got a knack for developing PR strategies and leading a small but talented team of professionals, encouraging them to take ownership of their work. You're a resourceful, positive team player who's always up for a challenge. You have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and support your team. Bonus points if you're bilingual (French and English)!     The Copywriter will be responsible for the following: Work collaboratively with creative partners, cross departments and clients to develop creative work of the highest standard Write copy and brand tone of voice for digital, film, social, print, content and beyond Master short and long-form copy, either while following a brand guideline or developing one Manage multiple projects and project teams simultaneously Present compelling creative presentations, earning clients' trust and approval of creative work Proof creative through production for quality and accuracy Develop strong conceptual ideas that solve clients' problems by looking at culture, trends, insights and going against convention Develop strong relationships with peers, partners and clients Drive creativity and originality throughout all work and the agency at large In the know-of trends and innovation in culture
