Lead change and improvement initiatives, utilizing innovation and lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce production costs. Lead by example (e.g. attendance, professionalism, rigorous follow up, H&S, positive attitude). This role requires the ability to work onsite full-time on night shift from the Ottawa location. Qualifications: Languages Requirements: An intermediate level of bilingual proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required at the time of hire. Education & Designation: University degree or College Diploma in a related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered. The role involves leading both the development phase of the products and related manufacturing processes based on Product Marketing requirements and overseeing production and packaging activities to ensure successful product delivery and stable manufacturing processes within the established timeframe. The incumbent also provides technical insight, Bill of Materials (BOM), and product costing with a goal of maximizing product profitability and supporting commercial success. The Product Engineer must work collaboratively with different business areas and external vendors to meet product launch deadlines. Upon hiring as a Product Engineer on a permanent position, the successful incumbent will be assigned to an 18-month term to support the implementation of a new ERP system, with a focus of product-related processes - product master data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and product costing. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that assigned portfolio products (coin, embellishments, packaging, etc.) are ready in time for launch.
