Technical:

• Position heavy fabricated metal components in machining fixtures utilizing overhead and jib cranes and other lifting devices per procedure.

• Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.
• Complete any required documentation - manage and complete the Manufacturing Orders as per company process.
Customer Service:
• Communicate with co-workers and internal customers as needed, including the passing of work from one shift to another.
• Builds sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
General:
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications in machining.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Ability to read blue prints, drawings, schematics.
• Good communication skills
