This role will be posted from September 16th, 2025 - November 12th, 2025. What you will do: Lead Counsel, IT will be the primary legal subject matter expert on IT and technology related matters across the legal function. Areas of focus include: Review, draft and negotiate critical IT, software and other technology related agreements as well as other corporate related contracts and master service agreements. Advise business stakeholders and legal colleagues on IT, cyber security, data protection and privacy, AI, or other technology based legal issues and terms. Establish repository of software, cyber security and other related contract terms with stakeholders and legal team based on Operating Segment risk and jurisdictional requirements. Support risk analysis and evaluation of technology, software or AI tools defined by business objectives as well as implementation. Support incident response of cyber security or data breach incidents. Track and interpret new legislation and regulations impacting technology. Prepare and deliver IT focused training for stakeholders. Work closely with procurement, commercial, operations, and other stakeholders including other segments of Legal department. Draft template contract language, including supply chain contracts and IT contracts that support needs of stakeholders. Provide legal support on strategic business objectives and initiatives supporting commercial, procurement and operations stakeholders. Assist in retaining and managing external counsel as necessary. Comply with all Company standards, policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employees, including the Statement of Core Values and Code of Business Conduct; the Respect in the Workplace Policy; Safety, Health and Environment Policies; and any other applicable standards, policies and procedures as implemented and/or revised by the Company or by legislation. What you will bring: A law degree, and be a member in good standing with local jurisdiction. 3-7 years of post-bar call legal experience in private practice or in-house (in-house experience is preferred). Demonstrated experience with IT and other technology related agreements, including drafting, negotiating and reviewing. Experience with cyber security laws and incident response frameworks for data/cyber breaches. Demonstrated legal knowledge in areas of cyber security, data protection, and AI and other emerging technologies and their legal implications. Excellent communication and drafting skills. Experience in supply chain matters and with agriculture, mining or heavy industry. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating supply chain agreements for digital projects, including procurement of IT systems, hardware and software. Ability to advise on software licensing agreements (on-premise, SaaS, cloud-based, subscription, perpetual). Knowledge of safety, health and environment obligations and how IT systems interface with critical operations. Ability to advise on technology matters and risk mitigation in fast-moving environment. Ability to collaborate with a variety of people, job functions and business segments within the organization, and externally advance legal department and business goals. Ability to identify legal risks and provide risk adjusted advice. Willingness to learn and understand strategic and operational aspects of the business and adapt in a dynamic business environment. Production Collaboratively manage underground mine production and construction activities in concert with the maintenance department to minimize unscheduled downtime and ensure equipment access during planned maintenance work. Integrate engineering, planning, and operational aspects of the work to meet (or exceed) production targets while keeping in full compliance with safety, health & environment standards and practices, budgets, and labor parameters. Train personnel on safe work practices and supervise to ensure practices are followed. Establish accurate work standards, evaluations, and appraisal systems. Establish employee training programs – introducing new concepts, systems, and equipment – to ensure top performance and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews of mine operations personnel. Provide coaching/mentoring to General Foreperson and others, fostering solid leadership development. Encourage and maintain two-way communication with direct reports for increased employee engagement. Participate in company off-site activities in support of employees (e.g. Fire Fighters’ Rodeo, Provincial Emergency Response Competition, Service and Safety Awards). What you will bring: Undergraduate Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering (other combinations of experience and education will be considered). 10+ years of related senior mine-management experience with demonstrated and consistent career progression. 5+ years of experience in an operation management position. The position also provides internal advisory services on product hazard reduction options (alternate ingredients), toxicology data interpretation, and product risk matters. What You Will Do Author SDSs - Information Gathering and Documentation Conduct chemical hazard assessments of new and existing chemical products (i.e., basic chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, adjuvants) and mixtures thereof per Global Hazard System (GHS) and country specific classification requirements. Author Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documents for Nutrien products using SDS generation software. Consider appropriate regulatory requirements beyond chemical hazard classification to ensure all relevant designations and warning statements are present and correct on the SDS and/or related documents (i.e., EPA, SARA, IARC, Proposition 65). Interpret lab reports for information that would affect a product hazard designation. Develop and maintain classification weight of evidence files. Monitor Chemical hazard classification regulatory changes for impacts to Nutrien SDSs (North America). Acquire and maintain supporting files upon which classifications and exemptions are based. Gather product formulation and raw material SDSs. Understand product uses e.g. fertilizers, adjuvants, pesticides, etc. Identify potential for chemical reactions and key reaction products. Use authoring software to generate a draft SDS and fine tune output on a weight of evidence basis. Internal SDS Management - Manage SDS inventories Maintenance of internal site for retail SDSs. Maintenance of supporting files/documentation for each product. What You Will Bring University degree or college diploma (BS/BA) in chemistry or equivalent. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, Nutrien Financial, this position will be responsible for collaborating with both our Information Technology and Nutrien Financial business teams to drive value through ensuring delivery of projects and programs within the IT portfolio. The role will build strong relationships with our business stakeholders, and both formulate and execute plans to deliver key strategic projects within our landscape. What you will do: Develop subject matter expertise in Nutrien Financial business area, including the credit, collections, and financial program management to enable effective and efficient delivery of sustainment initiatives. Collaborate with both IT and Business Stakeholders to ensure activity aligns to the desired business strategy. Ensure that planning and delivery of initiatives are aligned with the broader vision and strategy of the operating segments. Hypothesize solutions to business problems & needs. Lead delivery of sustainment initiatives to support the Nutrien Financial operating segment. Oversee portfolio of Support within the Nutrien Financials space, ensuring appropriate hygiene and status is reported. Maintain, socialize, and ensure usage of standardized delivery tools and templates across area. Provide intermittent Portfolio updates to senior leadership (Monthly/Quarterly program health check). Act as first point of contact for support and sustainment escalations and bring the right people to the table to resolve any issues quickly. Coordinate, monitor, and report on the scheduling, performance, and financial health of Nutrien Financial support activity. What you will bring: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of more than 15 years working in a relevant field. Experience with SAP-FSCM and SAP-CML is an asset. Minimum of 9 years of experience involved in execution and delivery of sustainment Initiatives. Minimum of 4 years of direct program and or sustainment management experience. Track record of successful sustainment delivery, including contemporary and advanced technologies. Strong, extensive, practical experience in complex technical landscape management, which was gained through managing medium to large teams in a matrixed environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program and project management in a fast-paced, high-change environment with competing priorities and tight timelines. The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems and negotiate conflict resolution when the need arises. Must be able to think calmly in a high stress environment, and perform under pressure.
