Job Summary
The Team Lead is responsible for helping direct the employees in the Warehouse. This individual provides support the Supervisors and Manager in daily operations and fulfills customers’ requirements. Duties include (but are not limited to) fork lift operation, preparation of documentation, compliance with training in Health & Safety, Security, ISO, Quality control. SOP’s must be followed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct employees when required Operate Warehouse equipment safely Unload cargo from truck trailers and various ocean containers Check and put away received cargo to the designated areas Print and check shipping orders Pick orders and prepare them for safe transport Work on Special projects and repacking operations Load cargo into truck trailers or various ocean containers Work on same day shipping Responsible for quality control; Damaged cargo coming into the warehouse must be signed for as damaged and the damaged materials must not be shipped. Both instances must be reported to the warehouse supervisor immediately Responsible for verifying all documentation (way bills, packing lists, etc) Use customer’s warehousing management system and maintain accuracy of inventory Communicate with client representatives and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction Adhere to all company policies, procedures, objectives and business ethics Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements where necessary Report any work-related injuries or accidents to Supervisor/Manager Maintain warehouse in a neat, orderly and efficient fashion Various other duties as may be required
Qualifications
Experience in general warehousing. Experience with being a Team Leader and leadership skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines with a strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment amidst constant interruptions Ability to safely operate a fork-lift or other cargo moving machinery Ability to physically handle items of variable weight up to 50lbs Required to drive forklifts and other machineries
Educations/Certifications
High School Diploma or greater Forklift Certificate WHMIS training TDG Certificate is an asset

Job Summary

Job Summary: Primary purpose of this position is to manage all import/export regulations on behalf of our clients. Including, but not limited to: HS Classification, Support operations/ release department with important changes for PGA’s and other OGD requirements, FTA qualification and analysis, valuation assessment, customs verification and audit assistance, blankets amends and refunds, customs rulings, upselling consulting services generating revenue opportunities etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Support Operations release with PGA inquires when necessary. Assign proper tariff classifications including end-use provisions of Chapter 99 the Customs Tariff. Provide support and solutions to both external and internal clients regarding technical customs regulatory inquires. Claim blanket refunds, drawbacks, remissions, rulings. Assist clients during CBSA Compliance Verification and post-audit requirements. Identify tax recovery opportunities (customs duties, GST, drawbacks, excise tax etc.) Perform mock Compliance Verifications audits with clients to identify and reduce possible compliance risks. Develop and manage new and existing clients’ commodity databases. Ensure compliance with OGD regulations. Ensure compliance with SIMA. Perform Free Trade certificate reviews for completeness and provide feedback to clients. Qualify goods under Free Trade Agreements Present training seminars/webinars as required to internal/external customers. Advise clients on regulation inquiries such as origin, valuation, marking, temporary imports, Special Import Measures Act Identify potential clients for upselling consulting services understanding the needs, challenges, and opportunities within your existing client base as well as targeting new clients who may benefit from additional services. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as Customs Compliance, Customs Specialist, Customs Consulting, related areas Knowledge and familiarity in the related regulatory laws, including OGD requirements, Customs valuation, GST/HST application, temporary import regulations, etc. Database mining/ manipulation at an advanced level with Excel and pivot tables Strong technical knowledge of CBSA, OGD regulations, import/export permits Strong Consultative, organizational, problem Solving and decision making skills Strong research/analytical skills with high attention to details Ability to exercise good judgment to solve problems Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills in English Well-organized and self-motivated Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, work under pressure and meet deadlines
