We are actively seeking a Technical Superintendent for our Hamilton office to plan, coordinate and supervise vessel maintenance and mechanical repairs at our various operations sites in Ontario.

Your talents will be used to meet the following challenges
Assist the supervisor in the day-to-day management of activities related to the maintenance of the assigned sector’s fleet in the application of preventive maintenance programs (SINEX).
Support the supervisors and crew by providing technical expertise to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the following areas of competence: technical specifications of vessels and equipment, government regulations, occupational safety standards and planned budgets.
Plan the various inspections required for the certification of vessels and equipment in conjunction with the supervisor and crews.
Contribute to the investigation of maritime incidents resulting in damage to ships and the environment.
Carry out mechanical audits in accordance with regulations and the SMS.
Participate in the development of indicators to ensure the ongoing performance of operations at technical, workplace safety and budget.
Promote and ensure compliance with occupational safety standards among supervisors and crew.
Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

Graduate of a college offering programs compliant with STCW standards in naval engineering or a related field
Maritime certificate (asset)
Experience in a similar position (asset)
Knowledge of Microsoft 365

Languages: advanced level in spoken and written English.

Agir en tant que responsable de l’analyse des plans, des dessins et des schémas reliés à la construction et à la réparation des navires.
Coordonner les activités d’ingénierie qui ont été attribuées en sous-traitance afin d’atteindre les objectifs attendus.
Participer aux discussions avec les fournisseurs de matériel afin de s’assurer du respect des requis projets.
Coopérer avec les entités réglementaires afin de garantir la conformité du design avec la règlementation.
Produire, à l’aide des logiciels, les plans de découpage et d’assemblage, les dessins de structure et de tuyauterie, ainsi que des maquettes 3D des navires à construire.
Relever les mesures pour les pièces à produire sur les barges et les navires et établir les listes de matériaux requis.
Consulter le personnel d’opérations pendant la phase de fabrication ou réparation afin d’identifier les ajustements ou correctifs aux plans.
Concevoir les adaptations à apporter aux navires pour permettre l’installation de nouvelles composantes (ex. : moteurs, génératrices, transmissions).
Participer à l’intégration des équipements de propulsion sur les navires.
Participer et apporter son soutien aux activités prévues au système de gestion de la santé, sécurité et environnement.
Notre Collègue Idéal Possède
Diplôme technique en architecture navale
Expérience dans des fonctions similaires (atout)
Connaissance des logiciels de la Suite Office
Maîtrise des logiciels de dessin tels qu’Autocad, ShipConstructor, SolidWorks ou Inventor
Autonome, fiable et minutieux
Travail d’équipe
Disponibilité pour des déplacements sur différents sites de travail (Isle-aux-Coudres)
Respect des échéances et travail sous pression
Maîtrise du français de niveau avancé, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
Maîtrise de l’anglais de niveau intermédiaire (un atout)
