NOC Job Code/Title: 42202 - infants' daycare worker Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent Wage: $20.00~$25.00/hour (depending on experience) Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week Number of Positions: 3 4% vacation pay Dental & Extended health care plan Job Duties: Lead daily activities by telling stories, reading books Develop and implement child-care programs that foster and enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers Establish and uphold an environment that guarantees the safety, health, and overall welfare of children Assist and lead children in the development of appropriate eating, dressing, and toileting habits Supervise and offer activity recommendations to early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants Build and maintain cooperative relationships with other staff members Recognize potential signs of learning or behavioral issues in children and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors Present children’s progress and challenges in staff meetings Evaluate the interests and needs of children, engaging in discussions with parents and staff members regarding their progress and any obstacles they might be encountering Job Requirements: Experience: Experience is an asset Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required Certificates: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E.
