They are looking for a Director of People Operations to join the leadership team — a high impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and wants to help shape how a great Canadian company builds and leads its workforce through its next chapter.
    Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead all people and HR initiatives across a predominantly hourly, frontline workforce — bringing structure, consistency, and accountability to how the organization attracts, develops, and retains its people.

    Key responsibilities include:Leading all aspects of people operations, including employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, talent development, compensation, and HR compliancePartnering closely with operations and plant leadership to support productivity, engagement, and retention in a manufacturing environmentDriving manager accountability through clear expectations, follow-through, and disciplined people processesDeveloping and sustaining HR systems, policies, and programs that support a growing, non-union environmentSupporting leadership capability building at the frontline and management levelsProviding insight and guidance to senior leadership on people-related risks, trends, and opportunitiesLeading change initiatives associated with growth, organizational evolution, and continuous improvement
    This is not a purely strategic or advisory role — the successful candidate will be comfortable operating hands-on and spending meaningful time with the business.
    Ideal Background10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environmentsProven experience supporting hourly and frontline workforces in non-union or mixed environmentsDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in non-union organizations, with a practical, business-aligned approach to employee relationsExperience building and sustaining HR processesStrong partnership mindset with operations leaders; focused on education, accountability, and performance rather than policy-driven rigidityExperience in privately held or entrepreneurial organizations strongly preferred
