As the leader of the Financial Projections Team, your responsibilities will include:
Motivate, lead, and develop a team of three Actuaries and Actuarial students to deliver high quality annual deliverables in a controlled governance framework:Annual Financial Plan on a US-GAAP LDTI basis for US and Canadian business units. FCT, Annual Statutory Plan (IFRS17), Appointed Actuary Report, Stress testing, and support ORSA for the Canadian Legal Entity. Annual Statutory Plan for US Legal Entity. Quarterly projection of expected LICAT Ratios for Canadian Legal Entity. Be a subject matter expert on the modeling, projection, and impact of numerous economic and solvency regimes including Canada (LICAT), US (RBC), Bermuda (BSCR), Europe (Solvency II), and internal economic capital to support internal and external stakeholders. Take initiative in Investigating, testing, and implementing new ways to leverage new and existing tools and technologies to deliver results. Contribute to other local and global projects.
Qualifications

Ability to lead and work in a cross-functional team environment. Demonstrated analytical, problem identification and resolution skills with attention to detail. High degree of accountability and professional ethics. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communicator (written and oral). Ability to handle multiple assignments communicating prioritizations to required levels. Highest degree of personal competence (self-awareness, self-management). Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree. Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries or equivalent actuarial designation. 10+ years of life insurance / reinsurance experience is preferred. Experience with US GAAP, IFRS17 and LICAT standards. Knowledge of other solvency capital regimes (i.e. BMA, SII) is an asset. Experience modeling in AXISTM. Experience with data bases and data analytics tools, for example SQL and R, an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in Excel.

The Developer will play a crucial role in supporting the reinsurance managers and operational team’s technological needs, ensuring seamless operations and efficient workflows. This role involves supporting the SICS Reinsurance third-party application, developing and maintaining internal interfaces, batches and scripts that enhance productivity and streamline reinsurance systems.
SICS is a Reinsurance core system of the company, it requires to coordinate with many other IT teams (updating or extracting SICS data) across different locations and time zones.
About the role:
Contributes to maintain existing reinsurance applications and automated processes written in .NET, SQR and PL/SQL. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting to find the root cause when an issue occurs.
Contributes to extend functionalities of automated process and new web-based services and cloud-based applications. This includes to work closely with Business Analyst in order to design together the best IT solution to fulfill business requirements.
Be responsible for the development and unit tests.
Be responsible to prepare, organize and install new versions of SICS (either service pack or major version upgrade).
Be the technical contact reference with the SICS vendor.
The technical tasks are mostly back-end related (APIs, scripts, interfaces, database).
Qualifications
About you:
5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining technical solutions. Proficiency in .NET and SQL is a must. Willingness to learn PL/SQL and SQR (SQL enhanced). Experience in containerized architecture using Docker. Experience and knowledge of Oracle database. Background in Software Engineering. Experience with Cloud environment (ideally Microsoft Azure), DevSecOps, Agile frameworks. Experience in the Finance/Insurance/Reinsurance industry is a plus. Appetite for Reinsurance business learning (very rich functional context). Experience on SICS Reinsurance system will be a strong plus as it is our main application. SICS the leading reinsurance industry system. Education/Further Requirements:
Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent education At least 5 years of professional experience Proficiency in English is a must (writing and speaking). All communications are in English.
