    What You will Do:

    Project Execution

    • Complete erosion and sediment control inspections

    • Complete soil, groundwater, VOC and air monitoring

    • Be present on Construction site during working hours to oversee construction tasks from

    Environmental perspective

    • Oversee dust prevention, erosion controls, and environmental monitoring at excavation

    workface

    • Work closely with Site supervisor & site consultant to resolve environmental issues that present

    themselves, following the site specific Environmental Protection Plan.

    • Administrative Duties, recording all observations in Environmental inspection log, complete

    weekly/monthly summary reports

    • Manage project resources and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company financial targets.

    • Handle billing, purchase orders, and all site documentation (Health & Safety, permits, etc.).

    • Oversee project field data, employee hours, and ensure compliance with QM's Health & Safety programs.

    Client Relationships and Business Development

    • Foster and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project satisfaction and identify potential business opportunities.

    • Assist with the bid process, including RFPs, RFQs, and the preparation of cost estimates.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to win new business and drive QM's growth.

    Health & Safety

    • Ensure that all projects exceed industry standards and comply with QM's Health & Safety policies.

    • Be proactive in creating a safe work environment for all staff, contractors, and stakeholders.

    What you bring to the table:

    • Experience working on remediation and/or contaminated site (Required)

    • Working knowledge and experience with erosion and sediment controls (Required)

    • Working knowledge and experience with various sampling equipment (Soil, groundwater, VOC, and air monitoring techniques) (Required)

    • Minimum 1 year of experience (Co-op experience included) in project coordination.

    • Proven experience in construction estimating and reviewing environmental site assessments.

    • Strong understanding of remediation solutions, contaminated site conditions, and environmental legislation.

    • Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including resource allocation, contract management, and financial oversight.

    • Ability to analyze and solve complex environmental challenges, especially in marine or contaminated land projects.

    • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and financial accounting systems.

    Education/Certifications:

    • A degree or diploma in earth sciences, environmental science, or engineering (preferred).

    • Certified Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer designations are an asset, but not required.

    LIVEWhat You will Do:As an ER Team Lead, you'll take charge in dynamic, high-stakes situations, guiding response teams to safely and efficiently mitigate environmental incidents. Your responsibilities include:• Leading field operations and coordinating personnel and equipment during emergency responses• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety policies and enforcing safe work practices• Developing and executing defensive/offensive response strategies• Completing associated administrative tasks and incident reporting• Mentoring and supporting team members and fostering ongoing training and development• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule and being available for short-notice deployments• Engaging in physical, outdoor work in varied and potentially hazardous environments
    WINWhat you bring to the table:• Valid BC Driver’s License• NFPA 472 Technician Level certification (or equivalent industry experience)• Strong leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations• Willingness to travel and work flexible, dynamic shifts• Understanding water treatment systems will be an asset.• Confined Space Entry & Rescue Certification• Rope Rescue Technician Level• NFPA 472 Tank Car/Truck Specialist• Experience with chemical handling, hazardous waste transport, and spill response• Familiarity with the Incident Command/Management System• Ability to work with heavy equipment, pumps, instrumentation (e.g., gas meters), and in industrial environments including heights and confined spaces
