We are currently seeking a Senior Active Directory Engineer fluent in both French and English to join one of our clients in the financial sector, a major international bank based in Montreal.
Role Overview:
You will be part of a global infrastructure team responsible for maintaining and enhancing enterprise identity services. This position is focused on Level 3 support and engineering of Active Directory platforms, contributing to both operational stability and strategic projects. As part of a distributed team, you will collaborate with colleagues in North America, Europe, and Asia. The role offers opportunities to engage in global initiatives, security enhancements, and modernization efforts across a complex Windows infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 3 operational support for the Active Directory environment in the AMER regionParticipate in global infrastructure projects, including system upgrades and security improvementsContribute to the administration and optimization of over 300 Windows-based serversTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Active Directory and ADFSCollaborate with international teams on technical initiatives and standardization effortsImplement automation and scripting solutions using PowerShellEnsure compliance with global IT policies and security standardsParticipate in the maintenance of core services such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and certificate authoritiesMaintain accurate documentation and contribute to process improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical SkillsExpertise in Active Directory, ADFS, and Windows Server administrationStrong scripting skills using PowerShell for automation and support tasksSolid understanding of DNS, DHCP, DFS, SCOM, SCCM, and backup/restore toolsFamiliarity with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environmentsExperience with LDAP, PKI, and patching mechanisms in enterprise settings
Professional Experience5+ years in a Windows infrastructure or identity services role within a complex, regulated, or global environmentDemonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues independentlyExperience working in agile or collaborative environments is a plus
