General Job Duties:
Performing pre and post trip inspections, records of logs, paperwork
Maintaining all tools and equipment to the required standards
Driving safely and professionally, always obeying all traffic rules
Driving on remote oil & gas roads in extreme weather conditions (snow/ice/mud)
Chaining up tires when required
Participating fully in job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings
Identifying and mitigating safety hazards
Loading and unloading bulk fluids
Qualifications Required:
Valid class 1 driver's license
Preferred 5 years driving experience
Clean driving record and drivers abstract
Must own your own unit, trailer an asset but not mandatory
Possess safety tickets including but not limited to First Aid/CPR, DETAC bonding and grounding for fluid trucks, common safety orientation, Gas Detection and Control and H2S Alive
Knowledge of Hours-of-service requirements and provincial Rules & Regulations
Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
Integrity and reliability, willing to accept after hour calls when necessary
Willing and able to test and pass industry required drug and alcohol screening
Capable of working in extreme working conditions (outdoors, weather, terrain)
Rates for Owner/Operators will be based on a percentage of income as well as the equipment you are providing.
