The Production Manager acts as a direct liaison between the Maintenance, Quality, and Operations Departments, communicating coordination for aircraft availability. This position oversees and forecasts maintenance planning and resource allocation in terms of parts and services, staffing, dispatching, and other logistical areas to ensure activities are completed efficiently.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate availability of aircrafts, minimizing downtime, liaising between Maintenance, Quality, and Operations, ensuring effective communication about the availability and airworthiness.Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to the Crew Chief, all licensed engineers, unlicensed engineers, and contracted staff, ensuring that all work packages are conducted in accordance with regulatory and company standards.Build a culture of continual improvement. Assess current processes looking for areas to improve and work with department managers to build better process flow.In collaboration with the Crew Chief, manage maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and safety standards.Continuously monitor the Aircraft Maintenance forecast, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.Maintain high standards in maintenance procedures, in collaboration with the Quality Department.Provide guidance and expertise to staff on aircraft types, best practices, and regulatory compliance, when necessary.Order, or ensure parts and services are ordered, for forecasted maintenance tasks.Fill in as a Licensed or Unlicensed Aviation Maintenance Engineer during staffing shortages, to provide experienced leadership, or as otherwise required.Actively engage in and contribute to the company’s overall safety culture and compliance initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications, Education & ExperienceCompletion of Transport Canada approved Technical Diploma/Program in Aircraft Maintenance.1-3 years experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, or equivalent experience at the company.Experience with aircraft types, BE02, DHC6, PC06, C206, C207, and C208B.Must possess Transport Canada M1 Licence is an asset but not required.Valid Canadian Driver’s Licence.Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.Proven safety record and excellent problem-solving skills.WHMIS 2015, Working at Heights, Fire Safety, Human Factors Certificate, Crew Resource Management.Legally entitled to work in Canada.Skills & AbilitiesCrew Resource Management: Ability to manage and utilize team resources effectively.Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Skills in evaluating information critically to solve problems.Digital Literacy: Proficiency with digital technology and tools.Management: Skills in organizing, planning, and overseeing work or projects.Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of how mechanical systems work.
