Job Summary: Contract Teacher Teaching on Call (French Immersion and English Instruction) School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is seeking a BC certified teacher to work in a 1.0 FTE temporary contract as a Teacher Teaching on Call supporting French Instruction in the Elk Valley communities of Elkford, Sparwood, Fernie and Jaffray, BC. This position will commence upon completion of the posting process and ends June 25, 2026. Must be bilingual and have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in French Language/French Immersion or French as a Second Language at the K-12 level. It would be considered an asset to have training/experience with French curriculum and assessment, and to be a fluent French speaker. This position will be utilized in order of priority as a replacement for French Immersion/French Teachers in the communities of Elkford, Sparwood, Fernie and Jaffray, BC, and it will not include paid mileage. Work will be assigned daily by the Human Resources Department. First priority will be for French Immersion and French vacancies. If French coverage isn't needed for a day, then placement will found in another TTOC vacancy.   • JOB SUMMARY: An employee who, under the direction of the principal/vice principal, performs a variety of organizational, accounting and secretarial functions of the school. POSITION : To enhance the casual call out list for Administrative Assistant work in Cranbrook, Jaffray, Fernie, Sparwood and Elkford. Work is casual on call with no guarantee of hours. Work may be offered at the Elementary, Middle and/or Secondary level. HOURS OF WORK : Ten months per year position. When school is in session for students.
