    About the Position
    Oversee department standards for deliverables such as bid packages, deliverable formats, and budget tracking tools Prepare timely and accurate bid estimates through quantity take-offs using estimating software, spreadsheet software, hand calculations, etc. Assist with determining which jobs to put through the bid process and which jobs to pass up due to the current circumstances of the company, marketplace, and economic conditionsAssigns responsibilities for the estimating team on each projectReviews project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scopeIdentify risk issues and their order of magnitudePrepares instructions to bidders, bid form, and other bid solicitation informationEnsures the flow of project information is maintained and documentedThe Requirements5+ years of estimating experience Successful estimating portfolioMust possess a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Heavy Bid software, is an assetPost-secondary degree, diploma, and/or equivalent related work experience Valid BC driver’s licenseCompensationSalary: $110,000 - $130,000 DOERRSP MatchingFully paid premiums
