Job Description Comply with Smiths policies, internal work regulations, and leadership behaviors. Participate in all Smiths quality, safety, health, and environmental programs, as well as its policies, procedures, and training requirements. Promote a safe and positive organizational environment. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-conditioned work area. Attend and participate in organizational training. Act as a Strategic Partner liaising with relevant departments such as Production, Engineering, Human Resources, Materials, and Quality. Perform activities or other duties as required by operations or supervisors. Develop and execute SES strategy for the site. Build LEAN capabilities within Smiths in alignment with SES strategy; collaborate with Division Lean colleagues to train practitioners and support cross-functional initiatives. Lead Kaizens and act as Lean SME for development programs. Train operational and functional teams in SES Lean principles, methodology, and tools. Facilitate the development and deployment of a disciplined Daily Management System incorporating Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, and Daily Reviews. Accountability Partner with all functions to develop cross-functional end-to-end value stream maps to capture current state, define future state, and create a roadmap for improvement to enhance customer performance and meet business objectives. Lead and support project ideation and hopper building for Lean and Six Sigma projects. Coach projects focused on improving customer performance, throughput, speed, cycle times, lead times, and productivity. Support continuous improvement through Gemba walks and data-driven influence, promoting best practices and disseminating Lean thinking. Support and coach SES strategy workshops and project implementations. Ensure effective enterprise-wide SES deployment, participate in the global Community of Practice, and support Black Belt projects. Qualifications Preferred Education, Qualification, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience. At least 5 years of extensive LEAN leadership in a manufacturing environment. 3-5 years facilitating large-scale strategic initiatives. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience in manufacturing environments is an asset. Skills and Experience: Proven track record as a seasoned LEAN leader managing end-to-end value streams. Experience in Lean Management Systems within medium or large global organizations. Advanced project management skills. Leadership skills to create high-performing teams and champion change. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Facilitation skills for multidisciplinary workshops. Change management capabilities. Coaching and training abilities to develop team skills. Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven approaches. Willingness to travel up to 15% for business purposes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Job Description SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under general supervision, performs a variety of engineering and design work requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Engineering judgment and responsibility are utilized to resolve inquiries. Investigate and resolve problems related to product performance or product difficulties. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Provides technical assistance regarding product type, materials of construction and design. Analyzes product design and prepares documents required to apply product to application. Approves layout and details manufacturing drawings to ensure the design conforms to the end user’s requirements by comparing the components of the product under defined operating conditions with technical literature and specialized calculations. Analyzes, evaluates and rectifies product failures. Completes failure reports to document observations and recommendations. Meets with end user’s on site to analyze and resolve product problems or perform product installation. Assembles and/or test product as required. Completes other duties as required. Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of Windows PC software. Must be able to multi-task. Two to four years of work experience in an Engineering capacity.
