The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new leads, managing existing accounts, and developing both new and existing sales opportunities in the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), FRAC, and Oil Sands markets. This includes developing potential clients, ensuring that SNF’s products and equipment perform to standards, and coordinating, providing, and maintaining technical support and service to customers. The representative will work to identify key relationships across the upstream oil and gas industry while managing product development and marketing strategies. This position will report to the Business Director – Upstream Oil & Gas. LOCATION: Home Office: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Responsibilities Provide technical sales and assistance for SNF customers, after‑sales service, and marketing of SNF products. Supervise the use of SNF products. Provide technical support and maintenance for all Company activities related to SNF customers. Assure that the Company fulfills all applicable and appropriate laws, regulations, and rules of business. Ability to work with and develop working relationships with various levels within the customer organization - field level operators, purchasing, as well as management‑level representatives. Ability to effectively interface with facilities, civil, electrical, chemical, and mechanical engineering personnel as well. Participate in the promotion and/or sale of SNF products and services to customers, as well as resolve disputes or misunderstandings. Log and track action items for SNF and clients to ensure clarity of expectations and timely follow‑up. Follow up on all customer validations, needs, orders, including delivery and quality issues, with customer service, logistics, quality, and R&D labs as necessary. Provide customers with SNF order processing information requirements. Manage customer payments for chemicals and services. Regularly prepare administrative and product analysis reports. Track invoices for services rendered and provide a monthly report on invoices completed and outstanding. Keeping accurate records is critical to providing effective service and ongoing customer support. Provide Marketing Support to include SNF representation at relevant conferences and industry shows, participating and managing events, lunch and learn sessions, and local, national, or international exhibitions. Maintain open verbal and/or written communication with all SNF personnel and provide any needed assistance and/or information as requested. This will include being able to cross‑collaborate with Floquip (Engineering and Equipment Fabrication team), manufacturing & logistics, analytical, and the R&D teams. Participate at a high level in SNF and customer‑driven continuous improvement meetings for projects and site operations. Lead, manage, and close customer contract negotiations. Develop market intelligence and sales strategies for EOR and associated projects. Maintain confidentiality of Company files, products, customers, and other trade information. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or Petroleum Engineering required or equivalent. 4–6 years in EOR, or Oilfield Chemical Sales. Knowledge of oilfield operations and development is considered an asset. Obtain and maintain a high level of general and technical knowledge of the products and services offered by SNF. Understand the SNF product range with respect to the EOR/FRAC & Oilsands market. Thoroughly understand the list of customers and competitors in the market and the technical position of SNF products versus the competition. The position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation, and presentation of both technical and commercial information. Must be Microsoft Office literate at an intermediate to advanced level. Ability to travel up to 50%.
