SOV Roofing & Waterproofing Inc. is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our growing and successful team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented estimator who enjoys working on diverse construction projects and wants to grow within a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
Manage the estimating process from initial bid through final proposalComplete accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimatesReview project drawings, specifications, and tender documentsBuild, analyze, and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractorsResearch and maintain current pricing for labor, materials, and equipmentPrepare comprehensive bid submissions, including scope, pricing breakdowns, and clarificationsCollaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractorsAnalyze scope changes and provide updated cost estimates as required
What We’re Looking For
Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in construction estimating or a related fieldMinimum 1 year of estimating experience preferredExperience with local construction methods and materialsStrong understanding of construction estimating principles and techniquesExcellent mathematical skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentHighly organized, responsible, and proactiveProficiency with Microsoft Office and PlanSwift (or similar estimating software)Roofing or waterproofing experience is an asset but not required
