    Your Opportunity
    We are currently looking for a Senior Power Distribution Engineer to join our Power team. As a technical leader, you will emphasize technical excellence, work closely with the design team and provide the necessary technical leadership required to deliver projects that satisfy client expectations.     Your Opportunity
    The role of the Project Manager would be leading the project team on a range of small to large water and/or wastewater treatment facility projects. You may be involved in various aspects of a project from planning phase through design, construction and commissioning. You will have opportunities to lead expansion of the company’s project pursuits in Southern Ontario.
    As a Project Manager, you should also possess a high level of technical expertise and should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, field work, coordination of tasks and personnel, and mentoring junior staff. The projects assigned may have complex features that will require the application of mature knowledge and experience. You will lead the analysis of proposed projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    This is a hybrid role with the option to be based in one of our offices in the greater Toronto area (Toronto, Stoney Creek) and will support projects across Southern Ontario.
    Your Key Responsibilities
    Take an active role in business development activities, project positioning, and proposal development. Leads the preparation of proposals including developing water and wastewater treatment project scope, budgets, design approaches; participates in client interviews and supporting negotiations for project contracts. Typical projects or assignments may include participating in the design and overseeing construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, water reservoirs, and conducting treatability and feasibility studies Acts as the primary point of contact for the project, including the management of existing client relationships. Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owners, contractor, subcontractors, and vendors. Provides project leadership for water and wastewater treatment process and/or process mechanical facility projects, including providing guidance and mentoring to project staff. Supervises the work of junior and intermediate staff, including setting the priorities for their scope of work, their budgets and their schedules for completing the work. Reviews and conducts alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for making project decisions. Leads and coordinates efforts for the evaluation, selection and specification of all engineered water and wastewater treatment systems or products for a project. Manages all financial aspects of projects including monitoring budget, invoicing, generating invoice support materials, calculating estimates to complete and following up with clients on outstanding accounts receivable. Leads and supports project teams in the coordination of water and wastewater treatment project construction documents including contract drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates. Interfaces directly with clients and management regarding status of water and wastewater treatment project scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinates and participates in constructability reviews. Oversees and ensures quality assurance and control on own managed projects and projects of peers.     Your Capabilities And Credentials
    Capable of generating water or wastewater work in Southern Ontario Demonstrated skills for the efficient project management/technical leadership of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects. Understanding of client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables. Strong working knowledge in the movement and treatment of water/wastewater and understanding of various design and construction methods. Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, process mechanical, regulatory compliances, and industry standards. Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of relevant design and construction codes. Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. Demonstrated skills to lead one or more teams of design professionals and technicians that comply with the contract agreement as well as exercise rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints. Advanced understanding of water and wastewater treatment engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work well in a team environment without direct supervision.
    Education And Experience
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in water treatment infrastructure related fields.

    Stantec is seeking an Estimating Manager within our Program & Construction Management group in North America with a background in a wide range of sectors including transit, highways, infrastructure, and buildings.
    This is a key position and requires a highly motivated candidate with excellent skills in communication, team management, business development and a willingness to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team to successfully deliver major capital projects and programs.
    As a Manager, you will lead Stantec's Estimating team and be responsible for the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects and programs throughout Canada and the U.S. ranging from small value to mulit-billion dollar in size. You will also be responsible for supporting the continued growth of the estimating practice.
    Your Key Responsibilities
    Provides estimating guidance to large complex projects and programs ranging from small to multi-billion dollar. Provides innovative solutions to estimating issues and problems. Develops, maintains and improves procedures, practices tools and training. Leads estimating pursuits and growth to continue advancing the practice and attracting and retaining top talent. Manages resource requirements for the estimating department and projects. Perform cost risk assessment and probabilistic simulations to establish project contingency and project reserve. Ensures Stantec’s estimating procedures and guidelines are consistently and correctly applied on projects and ensures standards, practices and deliverables follow recognized industry standards as outlined by CIQS and AACE for estimating. Manages process improvement for estimating procedures and guidelines. Set direction and goals for the department and individual team members. Assist and advise client agencies in pre-planning, scope of work determination, and final planning including budget and final estimates for funding. Serve as lead interface with client agencies to explain the project and for stakeholder buy in.
    Your Capabilities and Credentials
    Extensive technical knowledge of cost estimating and management, engineering design, and construction practices in various sectors including infrastructure, transportation and buildings Ability to develop a detailed WBS, estimating procedures document and bottom up estimate in the various classes and formats of estimates used in the industry. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present cost estimating projects on billion dollar plus highly complex projects and programs. Demonstrated experience implementing strategic initiatives across multiple business units and/or projects. Demonstrated strong collaboration, facilitation, leadership and teamwork skills. Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity and innovation. Positive attitude with strong relationship building skills. Advanced understanding of different contract methods and how they apply to estimating. Advanced skill in estimating software. Ability to organize and manage data and create advanced reports. Ability to travel to projects, work in seconded environments and travel if required from time to time.
    Education and Experience
    Technical degree/diploma or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Federal, provincial and municipal agency experience (ie. DCC, IO, MTO, Metrolinx, TTC, Regions, etc.) 10+ years of experience in a Civil/Architectural/Structural estimating role with a minimum of 5 years leading a multidisciplinary team. Construction experience is an asset. Cost consultant experience an asset. PQS or equivalent designation is preferred.

    Your Opportunity
    Stantec is currently searching for In-field Instrumentation Automation Specialists (Geotechnical and Hydrogeological monitoring) on a regular full-time basis, reporting out of Western Canada. This is a non-exempt position; overtime hours worked will be remunerated based on provincial employment regulations. Under the supervision of the Technical Lead, the Instrumentation Automation Specialist is responsible for completing operations maintenance, system design, estimating, procurement, assembly and programing of individual geotechnical and hydrogeologic automated stations monitoring to entire systems. You will be a focal contact for all automated and manual instrument troubleshooting from both client and internal issues. This position will work independently in the field with support from their Site Supervisor and Project Manager.
    This is primarily a field position, with approximately 85% of the work being field based. Work schedules based on project specific requirements and may require rotations of 12-hour shifts (day/night), as well as travel to remote field locations. Travel costs incurred while travelling to and from the project will only be covered from approved locations (Calgary and Edmonton).

    Your Key Responsibilities
