  • Conduct Engineering field inspection and testing services at locations across GTA and southern Ontario.possess a valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.Ensuring quality control/quality assurance of field work, field data analysis and engineering calculation.competently perform conventional aspects of geotechnical engineering, analysis and reporting, preparing geotechnical factual and interpretative reports including: audit, analyzing and collating performance data and reporting.Mentor and train field technicians and junior staff, quality assurance of their work, trouble shooting, field audit, liaison with clients and on- site contractors/inspectors.Undertake basic management of projects including but not limited to supervision of junior field staff, management of sub-consultants and sub-contractors, Project’s Key indicators and client satisfaction.Assist the Geotechnical Division lead with creating work plan and budget preparation, budget monitoring, review of invoicing and follow- up, and project financial projection.Ensure a high quality of design package, reporting and analysis is delivered to the Client within specified time & budget and ensuring client satisfaction including maintaining good client relationships and client development.Perform tests on plastic concrete in the field to assess quality and adherence to standards and specifications.Good understanding of geotechnical laboratory test procedures and ability to conduct laboratory tests such as proctor determinations and grading analyses.Supervise backfilling, compaction and asphalt paving operations to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.Able to undertake caisson and Rebar Inspection duties.Conduct inspections of subsoil bearing surfaces to confirm bearing capacities for foundations.Competently perform examinations of soil samples, perform soil/rock testing and produce borehole/test pit logs using gINT.Well versed with a variety of soil mechanics analyses and design including foundation engineering design and competently perform conventional aspects of design engineering and analysis and construction supervision.Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in independent, evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.Responsible for all aspects of laboratory testing of soil and rock samples for their projects.Demonstrate strong writing skills and verbal communication in English
