About the Role The Audience Development & Retention Specialist will play a key role in driving attendance, engagement, and retention across Strategy Institute’s portfolio of B2B conferences. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting senior-level professionals into event delegates through targeted outreach, relationship-building, and strategic communication. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated student or early-career professional interested in sales, marketing, business development, or event strategy.
Key Responsibilities Drive delegate attendance through outbound outreach (calls, LinkedIn, email) Execute audience development strategies to attract high-quality participants Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing delegates Conduct industry and prospect research to identify relevant audiences Clearly communicate event value propositions and conference themes Track outreach activity and maintain accurate records in CRM systems Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and improve campaign performance Analyze attendance data to optimize future audience growth strategies Take ownership of campaign performance and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills Strong interest in sales, marketing, or business development Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Comfortable with cold outreach and relationship-building Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred Fluency in English required

In this role, you’ll help plan, organize, and execute hybrid events that leave lasting impressions. From managing speaker logistics to ensuring seamless onsite experiences, you’ll be a key player in every stage of the event lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Remote Event Planning & Coordination Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of speaker logistics communication, presentation logistics, and ensuring a seamless experience for presenters and attendees. Oversee the preparation of event materials, including print signage, name badges, and attendee registration documents. Set up and maintain virtual event platforms with up-to-date content for each event. Collaborate with the production and customer success teams to deliver a flawless onsite experience for attendees and speakers. Organize and manage AV and show assets in advance of each event. Assist in managing room blocks and courtesy blocks, as needed. Prepare and deliver post-event reports and actively participate in team meetings and event debriefs. Support the Events Team with various planning and logistical tasks, as needed
Onsite Event Execution Oversee onsite registration and staff, ensuring smooth attendee check-in and accurate badge printing. Deliver exceptional customer service to all event attendees. Personally manage speaker check-in and be readily available for speaker needs throughout the event. Proactively troubleshoot onsite issues, making calm, informed decisions to ensure a smooth experience for all. Support event setup and teardown, including the staging of materials and AV components. Maintain an accurate inventory of event equipment and supplies. Provide assistance to the onsite lead and help with real-time updates to platforms like Brella, as required. What You Bring Must have experience with event platforms and technology (e.g., EventMobi, Cvent). Experience in event logistics and coordinating both virtual and in-person events. Detail-oriented, strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Must be available to travel and work on-site at events within Toronto and across North America, as required. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote setting.
