  • Title: Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Manager Location: Lasalle, Montréal Job Summary
    The Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and upkeep of the company's yard, shop, and building facilities. This includes managing inventory and supplies, supervising a team of technicians, coordinating equipment maintenance and transport, ensuring workplace safety and organization, and leading preventative and corrective maintenance for buildings and equipment. Reports To: Operations VP Key Responsibilities 1. Yard & Shop Management Supervise yard and shop technicians; assign and oversee daily tasks. Maintain inventory of tools, materials, equipment, spare parts, and consumables. Ensure the yard and shop areas are clean, safe, and well-organized. Oversee deliveries, including loading and unloading of materials. Coordinate fuel distribution for all company vehicles and equipment. Manage the daily tool and material check-in/check-out process. Support seasonal transitions in operations (e.g., snow to landscape and vice versa). Operate or oversee use of heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, loaders, trailers). 2. Equipment and Logistics Schedule and coordinate transport of machinery and parts to worksites, suppliers, or repair facilities. Ensure safe loading, securing, and transport procedures for all equipment. Monitor and maintain maintenance records and service schedules for fleet and machinery. Ensure safe operation and handling of all equipment used in the yard and shop. 3. Building Maintenance Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Oversee building repairs, seasonal maintenance, lighting, access controls, and cleaning operations. Coordinate with external service providers and internal teams for inspections, repairs, and renovations. Ensure compliance with safety codes and cleanliness standards. 4. Leadership & Administration Train, coach, and support yard and shop personnel. Monitor team performance and productivity to ensure adherence to company standards. Maintain up-to-date documentation (e.g., equipment logs, maintenance records, inventory). Enforce all safety protocols, signage, and procedures. Assist in tracking and managing budgets related to yard, shop, and facility expenses. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in yard/shop/facility management or a related role. Background in construction or trades (an asset). Proven leadership and organizational abilities. Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 an asset). Forklift certification or willingness to obtain. Strong understanding of inventory systems and maintenance practices. Bilingual (English/French)

This role involves performing a variety of tree work in residential, commercial, and municipal settings, including pruning, removals and stump grinding, Effective communication with clients (municipal and residential) and managing your crew to ensure efficiency and safety are crucial. The role is full-time Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call or after-hours work. We welcome both international and Canadian applicants. Class 3 driver's license (or out-of-province equivalent) with a clean driving history. Knowledge of local trees, shrubs, and plants. ISA certification or DEP in arboriculture Ability to communicate orally in French, English is an asset. Additional Requirements: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Leadership skills with the ability to guide a team effectively.
