    SUMMIT , An Earth Services Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior level contaminated site assessment and remediation professional to join the Reclamation, Remediation, and Risk Management (RRRM) Division as a Senior Technical Specialist (Competition #25-02-0696). This is a full-time position and can either be based out of one of Summit's offices (Calgary, Lloydminster, Grand Prairie, Brooks, Medicine Hat, Alberta or Weyburn, Saskatchewan) or from a home office.
    The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners to ensure projects are executed on time. This role will act as a change advocate, swiftly adapting to shifting priorities and evolving project requirements. You will be supported by the entire Summit organization which consists of a dynamic team of Professional Engineers, Geologists, Biologists, Chemists and Agrologists, technical administrators, business development and health and safety professionals, and an in-house IT department.

    Provide senior technical review on regulatory, environmental monitoring, and closure reports

    Develop Environmental Site Assessment plans, including remedial action plans
    Review technical reports
    Mentor junior and intermediate staff
    Some field responsibilities such as site visits and providing guidance to field personnel
    Professional sign off on contaminated sites work in Alberta and Saskatchewan
    ~ Thorough understanding of the regulations and processes for contaminated sites management in Alberta and Saskatchewan

Reporting to the EPM Manager, this role will see you leading a group of technical specialists working with customers to provide project management and strategic advice through all phases of project lifecycle. This is a full-time leadership role that offers hybrid work arrangements, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote office work.
    WHAT TO EXPECT:As a “safety first” leader, you will be confident and competent in planning and leading biophysical assessments, coordinating projects and teams, and will act as the technical lead for your team. You will lead a team of dynamic biologists and technicians and apply your organizational and project management experience in a multi-disciplinary and dynamic capacity. You will be empowered to help mentor, train, and develop your team, support project queries and forecasts, and act as the direct project representative both internally and externally.
    JOB DUTIES:Primary duties include leading/managing projects for the oil and gas, power and utilities, land development, and renewable energy sectors.
