  • Communications Specialist

    T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company's continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
    The Role Reporting into the Chief of Staff, this role is responsible for supporting the CEO Office in its internal and external communications. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating consistent and compelling messaging across the enterprise to enhance corporate culture and drive business objectives forward. This role will also closely support the CEO on external communications such as speaking engagements and press releases. The Communications Specialist is an effective communicator, ensuring our brand and values resonate with internal and external audiences.
    Major Responsibilities Internal Communications Manage weekly company-wide huddles including the development of topics and materials to enhance employee engagement and morale Write thoughtful and compelling content such as internal newsletters, CEO speeches and statements Develop and manage communication strategies to ensure timely and consistent messaging across all internal channels Support the planning and execution of internal events such as annual strategic planning, townhalls, and executive offsites Support the Chief of Staff in creating critical communications and correspondence External Communications Write press releases to promote company news, achievements, and initiatives Draft speeches and talking points for the CEO and other senior executives for various external speaking engagements Assist in crisis communication planning and execution Support the planning and execution of external events including interviews, public appearances, and vendor summits Support thought leadership initiatives, including researching and ghost-writing Support content creation for social media CEO Office Management Support in improving communication within the CEO Office and across different departments Support the Chief of Staff in other writing and communications as required
    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements 3-5 years of experience in communications or public and media relations Highly organized, resourceful, and responsive to urgent communication needs Strong writing skills, with an ability to learn the executive's voice and write for different audiences Ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate across different business units Confident and strong communicator with all levels of the team, including executives Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Exceptional time management skills, including experience managing multiple requests and stakeholders on a tight timeline Energetic, self-motivated and an ability to perform under pressure Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in conversational Chinese (Mandarin) is an asset.

    The Role Reporting to the Manager, Marketing - Customer Loyalty, this role leverages digital tools and data-driven decision-making to enhance membership growth and engagement. The position includes email marketing, digital messaging promotion, digital analytics strategy, and traffic optimization, including paid advertising and SEM. Additionally, content maintenance and feature development for membership programs are part of the responsibilities.
    Major Responsibilities Email & Digital Messaging Marketing: Develop and implement email marketing strategies, including campaign planning, theme scheduling, audience segmentation, and email automation setup. Expand digital messaging promotion across other channels (e.g., SMS, push notifications) to enhance customer engagement. Monitor and optimize performance through A/B testing and data analysis. Digital Analytics Strategy: Lead membership project dashboards, analyze member insights, and provide data-driven recommendations to support business decisions. Maintain and improve digital analytics frameworks for tracking engagement, retention, and conversion metrics. Traffic & Performance Optimization: Develop and optimize digital traffic strategies to enhance membership visibility and engagement. Manage and improve SEO/SEM campaigns in collaboration with agencies, ensuring cost efficiency and high ROI. Oversee paid media campaigns and continuously refine strategies to increase reach and conversion. Oversee the functional development and maintenance of the loyalty program, acting as a marketing team representative in development projects with IT and external partners. Support and collaborate with the marketing team on major campaigns, festivals, and special projects. Develop clear and well-structured documents, write and refine proposals, and independently present reports and strategic plans. Ensure all assigned tasks meet required deadlines. Support the company's overall marketing objectives, both externally and internally. Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior(s).
    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Possess a minimum of 2-3 years of marketing experience. Digital marketing and user growth or customer loyalty experience background is an asset. Knowledge of data analysis and visualization. SQL and Power BI are must-have skills. Proficient PowerPoint presentation ability is necessary. Possesses analysis report and proposal skills in both English and Chinese. Strong editing and proofreading skills; creative and innovative with good attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders. Ability to work independently, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Experience in working within a demanding, fast-paced or retail environment will be an asset. Completion of bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on marketing analytics or business analysis preferred. Some travelling to various locations may be required from time to time.

  • Project Controller  

    The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Controller to join our Engineering Department. Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering and Design, this individual will oversee multiple engineering projects, ensuring efficient tracking, communication, and risk management. The Project Controller will be the key contact person for project updates, working closely with project managers to ensure milestones are met and risks are mitigated. This role will also support financial management, collaborating with Finance and Accounting Department to maintain accurate budgeting and cost controls. By identifying potential risks, red-flagging critical issues, and ensuring contingency plans are in place, the Project Controller will help drive project success and operational efficiency.
    Major Responsibilities
    Program Oversight & Communication (70%) Oversee and manage the tracking of engineering project milestones, timelines, and deliverables across the department. Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure milestones are met, documenting any delays, challenges, and necessary adjustments. Develop and maintain clear, structured reporting channels, ensuring stakeholders are informed of project progress, risks, and delays. Create and maintain project status reports and dashboards, providing senior leadership with visibility into project performance. Develop best practices for document management and project control to improve efficiency and consistency. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding project updates, ensuring seamless communication across departments. Implement and oversee risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate schedule delays, cost overruns, regulatory compliance, performance issues, and operational risks, escalating critical issues for resolution. Document and track change orders, ensuring approvals are obtained and recorded as necessary.
    Financial Management & Cost Control (20%) Manage year-end accruals for engineering projects, collaborating with Finance and Accounting (F&A) to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. Analyze project costs by country, project type, and scope to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. Maintain and improve vendor payment terms while ensuring timely updates to F&A. Manage purchase order tracking and capital spending reconciliation, ensuring procurement stays within budget. Support budget forecasting, providing accurate financial data to aid strategic decision-making.
    Cross-Departmental Coordination (10%) Act as the key liaison between the Engineering Department, F&A, and other internal business units to ensure efficient project tracking and financial operations. Ensure all project updates and financial documentation are accurate and submitted on time. Support change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing project disruptions.
    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in a program or project management role, preferably within an engineering or construction environment. Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. Hands-on experience in financial management, project accounting, or cost control within an engineering, construction, or industrial setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project; experience with project management software is a plus. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and leadership levels. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on process improvements and operational efficiency. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. Fluency in written and spoken English Able to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is an asset.
