We are seeking an experienced, accomplished, and self‑motivated Group Leader to work in the Water & Wastewater group based out of our Barrie office. This position will develop and lead a group of Project Managers and technical support staff, and is responsible for the planning, design and completion of infrastructure projects involving water supply, treatment, pumping and storage, and wastewater pumping, treatment and disposal projects. The Senior Engineer, Group Leader will also serve as Project Manager and provide support for multiple projects. This individual will be a progressive, collaborative and energetic professional engineer with at least 8 years of consulting experience. The variety of work available provides an opportunity to advance your skills and practical experience in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Communicate regularly with the Senior Manager to provide updates on actions and strategies to achieve group goals and targets Develop and execute quarterly business plans, set goals and targets for the group as established with the Senior Manager to expand both services provided and market areas Communicate regularly with other Group Leaders to discuss items of mutual interest - sharing resources, technical support, business development activities, etc. Assist and monitor Project Managers to establish and track budgets and project schedules and maintain staff utilization and profitability targets discussed with the Senior Manager Develop, manage, lead, train, discipline, mentor and motivate all members of the group Manage and complete projects as a Senior Engineer, including budget, schedule and resource management, billings and client liaison Lead business development and raise the profile of the department and the company Identify project opportunities in existing and new project areas, prepare work plans and proposals to acquire work Key Position Requirements P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, preferably in the consulting environment Technical leader in relevant sector Demonstrated abilities as a team leader, responsible for managing a team of support staff Undertake business development with a desire to do more Understanding of business metrics and company policies and can work with staff to achieve desired outcomes Demonstrated high level of commitment Strong, relevant design and project management experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent technical and analytical skills Strong knowledge of appropriate design and analysis software Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation Understanding of Tatham Engineering’s mission, vision and purpose and actively promotes same How to Apply

We are seeking a Structural Engineer, Project Manager to work in our Buildings department to join our team of dedicated engineers, technicians, and support staff, delivering high quality engineering services for various Buildings projects. The Structural Engineer, Project Manager will work on a variety of project types such as new building designs, building renovations and additions, structural assessments, design of structural repairs, and municipal structures. Projects may involve commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, or municipal buildings and various materials such as concrete, steel, wood, and masonry. The Structural Engineer, Project Manager will be situated within our Buildings department, reporting to a Group Leader or the Department Manager. The position will involve working in the office for a minimum of 4 days per week and the candidate could be situated in our Collingwood, Barrie, Orillia, or Bracebridge office, depending on the candidate’s preference. We are seeking an experienced, accomplished and self-motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with project management experience to work in the Electrical group based out of either our Barrie, Collingwood or Guelph office. The Senior Electrical Engineer – Power will prepare detailed design of High and Medium Voltage systems, up to 44kV systems, at the utility and site level, and will have an understanding of generation and distribution systems, substation design, utility interconnection, and protection and control. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience dealing with utility companies and clients, and renewable energy systems. The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for creating and implementing processes and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software, as well as assisting Group Leaders and Managers with business development, providing technical direction and mentoring junior staff. In addition, the Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Perform engineering calculations using relevant software and engineering design standards Prepare, or manage others in the preparation of, detailed design drawings using AutoCAD software, adhering to company standards and templates Prepare electrical specifications adhering to company standards, including required research to ensure equipment specifications are up to date Review relevant codes and standards pertaining to work being performed Preliminary reviews and construction progress Conduct site visits as required When required, prepare project proposals, including detailed description and understanding of scope of work, budget fees, project schedule, and expectations of deliverables by all parties Complete project management tasks including coordination with other disciplines, clients, document control, budgets, timelines, invoicing and mitigating risks Key Position Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as AutoCAD Understanding of the Ontario Building Code and Ontario Electrical safety Code Strong communication and technical writing skills Experience with business development and project management is an asset Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work independently under minimal supervision Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation How to Apply
