  • Customer Service Representative Location: Mississauga, ON Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm
    We are growing and looking for quality people to join our team! We are looking for a results-oriented individual who can bring their strong strategic and analytical skills to this exciting role. As a CSR you will be the first point of contact for any External Customer concerns. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively across all levels and areas of the organization in a dynamic, fast- paced and growing environment.
    Who we are: Transit Design Group (TDG) has been presenting innovative lighting solutions to the rail and public transportation industries since 1989. We are leaders in building complete lighting systems for locomotive and rail passenger vehicles, inside and out. This includes light rail and commuter rail. We also specialize in LED innovations, continually introducing new technology which then becomes the industry norm.
    General Duties Direct point of contact for TDG customers via telephone, email and portals. Support TDG by performing all tasks needed to maintain positive customer relations (This includes providing customers with part quotations, processing purchase orders, and managing customer follow-up) Handle all customer inquires (Request for Quotes, Processing Purchase Order, Order Status, Part Inquiries, etc.) Works with all departments to ensure smooth customer ordering process up to and including aftersales support, and order status follow-ups Coordinates and distributes customer surveys/compiles results Creates RMA Sales Orders Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external business partners in an effort to promote future sales for the organization.
    Work Experience 1-3 years of progressive business experience in Customer Service &/or Administration Must have experience with all office programs including but not limited to Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook (e-mail)
    Special Skill Requirements Must be able to work in a client facing environment Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and build strong business relationships at all levels. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment. International Travel may be required
    Education University/College Diploma or equivalent

  • Mechanical Design Manager

    Duties & Responsibilities: Manage tasks and oversee department of mechanical engineers and designers. Accountable for time allocation and project completion timelines Work with mechanical and production teams to develop optimal DfM designs for product Review of drawings, best practices, and designs with mechanical team. Assign and monitor tasks and timelines within the department. Working with teams within company to develop, manage and maintain project schedules and deadlines. Create 3D models and Drawings of new components for fabrication. Create Assemblies and drawings of products using Solidworks. Revise designs & drawings based on internal and customer feedback. Develop new designs to meet and exceed customer needs based on technical requirements. Design of lighting systems for locomotive and rail passenger vehicle.
    Requirements and Experience 5-8 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer. 3-5 years of experience in supervisory role. Experience with parametric modelling in CAD software, Solidworks is an asset. Experience with Solidworks PDM or Similar Knowledge & design experience for manufacturing processes – CNC Machining , Sheet Metal, Metal & Plastic Extruding, Fabrication, 3D printing. Knowledge of GD&T. Basic understanding of electronics / PCB's. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent capacity for synthesis analysis and innovation. Experience with optical design is an asset. Experience within lighting is an asset
    Education Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design) / University degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    TDG Transit Design Group is seeking an organized individual with strong attention to detail to design intricate embedded hardware PCBs. Qualified candidates will have 3 + years of electronic design experience.
    General Duties Design of Electronic circuits Validate design concept with simulation software Capture schematic Layout PCB assembly Build prototype PCBs using PCB milling/routing equipment to validate hardware Analyze and troubleshoot analog circuits Write software programs for microcontrollers Manage, troubleshoot EMI qualification tests Maintain documentation pertaining to PCBs and software International travel to various TDG and customer sites may be required
    Required Experience Industry experience in electronic design and engineering Proficiency with computer aided design software (Altium preferred) Proficiency with spice simulation software SMPS design Excellent understanding of PCB layout techniques Design experience with microcontrollers Excellent communications skills. Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences 3+ years of relevant experience.
    Desired Experience Proficiency with Altium Designer Proficiency with Solidworks LED circuit design experience Ethernet hardware experience Familiarity with Ethernet protocols
    Education University degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent post-secondary education Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and member in good standing or eligible to register as a member of PEO;
