  • LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – COMMERCIAL LITIGATION On behalf of our client, TEEMA is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant, Commercial Litigation . The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Canadian law firm. The position offers 2 days a week from home after the probationary period of 3 months onsite. Responsibilities Liaise with other legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers and clients regarding file progress Draft and transcribe legal documents, basic pleadings and correspondence Manage and maintain bring forward system for tasks and appointments Organize meetings, trials, and other court dates Prepare application records Keeping files up-to-date Process all outgoing correspondence and sort incoming mail Preparing monthly accounts Prepare expense reports Other various general administrative duties, as required What you MUST have Positive, professional, can-do attitude Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook Keyboarding at a minimum or 60wpm Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills A thorough understanding of civil litigation rules and procedures Excellent written (grammar, spelling, proofreading) and verbal communication skills High level organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce quality and accurate work Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage high volume of work in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to take initiative and be proactive, as well as follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member in a team environment Compensation + Benefits The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $81,000 + RRSP, 3 weeks holiday, 12 personal days, salary review annually, and many more benefits! #J-18808-Ljbffr
