  • Residential Mortgage Underwriter

    Overview The Analyst, Underwriting is responsible for supporting the review and approval of residential mortgage and real estate applications in a timely and effective manner. The role follows detailed instructions and documented procedures to negotiate, approve, recommend, or decline residential secured and unsecured mortgages and real estate applications within established guidelines and authorized lending limits. The Analyst, Underwriting uses judgement regarding priorities and approaches to review credit information by gathering and critically assessing property-specific third party due diligence reports and negotiating terms for marginal applications. The role provides specialized advice and guidance on company policy, procedures, and security value estimates, resolving basic problems within the scope of their job. Responsibilities Decision- Maker - Negotiate, approve, decline and recommend applications, within established processes, guidelines and authorized lending limit of up to $1,500,000, including residential mortgage, real estate secured and unsecured applications. Analytical - Gather, review and assess information and documentation to support each credit application within risk parameters and Insurers guidelines, if applicable. Relationship building - Handle, as required, correspondence and telephone inquiries from internal business partners and external business partners such as insurers, appraisers and solicitors. Risk Assessment - Review, prepare and make considered recommendations to Manager or senior underwriter where residential mortgage application is above authority limit. Agile - Manage high work volumes to meet short time lines with a high level of quality and due diligence. You will also be expected to review a variety of lending products on a day to day basis.   • Business Analyst - Reconciliation

    Job Summary The Business Analyst will support the Reconciliations team within Wealth and Global Banking Markets on a multi-phase initiative focused on decommissioning feeds and migrating data into the GBMDP data platform. The BA will be primarily responsible for reconciliations testing and will partner with Business Units, Technology and Project teams to document current state, plan and execute testing, and deliver future‑state knowledge transfer documentation to support production readiness. Responsibilities Work with multiple stakeholders (Business Units, Technology and Project Teams) to document the reconciliation current state (technology pipeline, Ledger & statement transits, TLM Categories and Sets, Currencies, fields required for manual matching & auto matching, entry volumes per month). Attend project‑related meetings, summarize discussions including next steps, and keep the Reconciliations Management team informed. Work closely with the Project team to review and understand any changes to the Project Roadmap and key milestones, communicate new timelines to the Reconciliation Management team, and highlight risk if any. Lead and fully own testing for reconcilations: draft testing requirements and plan, perform and document testing results, track completion, collaborate with the Reconciliation Management team for input/feedback, facilitate sign‑offs, and keep all informed of testing status. Document the future state (technology pipeline, Ledger & statement transits, TLM Categories and Sets, Currencies, fields required for manual matching & auto matching, new entry volumes per month, BU owner for break clearing) and share the output as a knowledge‑transfer document prior to production. Qualifications Proven track record as a proactive BA who can “find the work” and move deliverables forward with minimal direction. Comfortable working under pressure with tight timelines and changing priorities. Strong written communication (meeting notes, test artifacts, status reporting). High attention to detail; disciplined documentation and evidence handling. Banking/financial services experience strongly preferred.
