With a legacy dating back to 1945, this family-owned firm specializes in a wide range of building envelope services, including roofing, and architectural sheet metal. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in roofing estimation, project costing, and bid preparation, contributing to the company's continued success in delivering high-quality projects throughout the BC Interior and Western Canada.​
    Key Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.​ Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material and labor cost breakdowns, and comprehensive bid proposals.​ Collaborate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are accurately accounted for.​ Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms.​ Identify potential project risks and provide value-engineering solutions to optimize costs and efficiency.​ Utilize industry-specific software tools to enhance the estimating process.​ Stay informed about market trends, material costs, and advancements in roofing systems and technologies.​
    Qualifications & Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial roofing estimation.​ In-depth knowledge of various roofing systems, including flat roofing, metal roofing, and green roofing solutions. ​ Proficiency in estimation and project management software.​ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project drawings and specifications.​ Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors.​ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.​
