Permanent à Temps Plein, Présentiel ( CCS25-29 ) Version anglaise suivra - Version anglaise ci-dessous Responsabilités principales Génie logiciel : Évaluation et validation des logiciels du système de commandement et de contrôle du système de combat ainsi que du système de gestion des données sous-marines, afin d’assurer leur conformité aux normes militaires relatives aux capteurs et systèmes d’armes sous-marins navals. Essais et validation : Soutien à l’équipe d’ingénierie et de technologie dans la validation de l’intégration des systèmes et des mises à jour logicielles pour les systèmes sous-marins de remplacement installés sur les navires de classe Halifax. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science is required. 4–7 years of relevant experience; pump selection, applications engineering, and supporting technical sales with complex proposals. Proven ability to engage with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to prepare quotations and select equipment to prepare technical quotations. Required to travel across Canada and the United States up to 20% of the time. Experience with engineered-to-order systems (e.g., floating pump stations, pump skids, pump houses, electrical control systems) and familiarity with mining, mineral processing, or manufacturing environments is a plus. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

Purpose of Role: Weir Marine Engineering (WME), as part of our long-term contract to manage and operate the Naval Engineering Test Establishment (NETE), has an opportunity for a Radio Frequency (RF) Communications Specialist. In this role, and working with other NETE team members, you will conduct requirements analysis, investigate technical options and provide technical expertise to support the planning and oversight of the Canadian Armed Forces High Frequency Low Frequency Radio Capability (HFLFRC) project, and other similar modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Investigations and Studies: Leading and supporting technical investigations and studies into future communications technologies in support of Canada’s strategic HF/LF capabilities. Technologies include, but are not limited to, external communications systems supporting national and allied communications requirements in the Low Frequency (LF), Medium Frequency (MF) and High Frequency (HF) bands, and potentially Very Low Frequency (VLF); Technical Expertise: Providing technical expertise related to external communications including, but not limited to, LF/MF/HF transmitters, receivers and antenna systems; Architecture/Design: Advise and assist with the development of high level logical and physical communications systems topology and architecture views; and Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives below. • Technical knowledge and experience including: Knowledge of antenna theory, RF ionospheric propagation, and designing, simulating, analyzing, modelling and testing antennas; Expertise with VLF/LF/MF/HF/ transmitters, receivers and antenna systems; Experience in design, simulating and testing radio systems and amplifiers; Knowledge of various RF tools and post processing software; Knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and system block diagrams; Strong understanding of project management principles; and Previous experience supporting the Royal Canadian Navy in communications engineering, whether from within DND or from industry, would be a strong asset Excellent English writing skills and experience preparing technical documentation, reports, presentations, and correspondence; Fast learner, proactive, responsive, organized, self-driven, takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and can work autonomously. Able to work in a collaborative, team environment with team members located across the country; and Canadian citizenship, with 10 or more years residing in Canada with no periods longer than six continuous months out of country, is absolutely necessary as part of the requirements to obtain a government security clearance to the minimum level of Secret What we offer you:
