Full Job Description Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Calgary, AB (on-site) Employment Type: 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension or transition to permanent full-time employment. Salary Range: $49,920.00 - $58,240.00/annum Start Date: Immediately Position Overview In the initial stages, the analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements, conduct outbound calls to verify information, and assist with ERP system updates and integrations. Additionally, this role contributes to the development of data governance standards, resolves data‑related issues, and documents data processes—all while upholding GEO PSI’s core values. Long term, the Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting strategic decision‑making across the organization by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and usability of data. This position involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data from various internal and external sources, maintaining data quality, and delivering actionable insights through reports and dashboards. Key Responsibilities Uphold GEO PSI’s core values—commitment with accountability, teamwork, integrity, innovation, and persistence—in all professional activities. Ensure the completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems and reports. Lead the effort to collaborate with departments to understand their data needs and deliver tailored insights. Maintain clean and accurate data records by identifying and correcting errors, duplicates, and outdated entries. Conduct outbound calls to customers and vendors to verify or update information and resolve data‑related issues. Assist with ERP system updates, implementations, and integrations. Troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues in a timely manner. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements using data analysis. Support the development and implementation of data governance and quality standards. Collect, process, and analyze data from internal and external sources to inform strategic decision‑making. Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable business intelligence. Communicate analytical findings clearly to stakeholders and recommend data‑driven solutions. Document data processes and workflows to ensure consistency and clarity. Other duties may be assigned to support evolving business needs. Strong understanding of data analysis principles, including data collection, cleaning, and interpretation. Solid knowledge of ERP systems and their core modules. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with data visualization tools is an asset. Strong foundation in statistical methods and techniques for identifying trends and patterns. Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights and reporting solutions. Knowledge of data governance, data integrity, and quality assurance best practices. Demonstrated analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Self‑motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences and deliver information clearly and timely. Demonstrated thought leadership and a strategic mindset. Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple sources. Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business operations and reporting needs. Track record of identifying data needs, resolving data quality issues, and implementing corrective actions.
