The OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join a collaborative engineering team focused on delivering high-quality design-build projects. Reporting to the Senior/Chief Mechanical Process Engineer, this position plays a key role in transforming P&IDs and floor plans into detailed, constructible piping layouts. This is an office-based role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, technical design, and seeing their work move seamlessly from design to construction.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D piping layouts and isometric drawings (ISOs) based on P&IDs and floor plans.Use AutoCAD 3D and Acorn Pipe Spooling Software to create accurate, efficient piping designs.Please make sure that all piping systems are properly routed, supported, and coordinated.Collaborate closely with engineers, drafters, and fabrication teams to verify field fit and constructability.Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with design standards and project requirements.Participate in design reviews and support project delivery through all phases.
Qualifications3+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or process-related environments.Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D (required).Experience using Acorn Pipe Spooling Software (required).Strong understanding of P&IDs, isometrics, and general piping design principles.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and field measurements.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
