The Senior Rail Track Design Engineer will lead the planning, design, and delivery of rail and transit track infrastructure across Canada. You will play a key role in delivering complex rail projects—including LRT, heavy rail, commuter rail, and yard/maintenance facilities—while supporting the growth of our national Rail + Transit practice. Responsibilities & Qualifications What You'll Do Serve as the discipline lead for track design on major rail and transit projects. Lead development of horizontal and vertical alignments, turnouts, crossovers, special trackwork, and yard layouts. Oversee preparation and review of design drawings, specifications, design criteria, and technical reports. Conduct and review corridor assessments, constructability analyses, staging plans, and design alternatives. Ensure seamless integration with signalling, traction power, OCS, communications, civil, structural, and geotechnical disciplines. Provide senior technical review, quality assurance, and risk mitigation guidance. Lead multidisciplinary teams through feasibility, preliminary design, detailed design, and implementation phases. Engage with clients, rail operators, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical issues and support decision making. Mentor and develop junior and intermediate rail engineers, fostering technical excellence within the practice. Contribute to business development, proposal strategy, and client relationship management. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Minimum 15 years of experience in rail track design for LRT, heavy rail, commuter rail, or freight rail projects. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia. Demonstrated leadership delivering complex rail infrastructure projects. Advanced proficiency in track geometry design, alignment modelling, and corridor integration. Experience with design tools such as Bentley OpenRail, MicroStation, Civil3D, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of AREMA, Transport Canada guidelines, and applicable provincial/municipal standards. Experience coordinating with rail systems disciplines (signaling, OCS, traction power, communications). Strong understanding of constructability, staging, maintenance of way requirements, and rail operations constraints. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership. Experience working with Canadian transit agencies and rail operators is an asset. Additional Information TYLin is committed to pay equity.     Job Summary We are seeking a Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater, to join TYLin’s Water Sector. In this role, you'll design a variety of municipal servicing projects, both public and private, while growing your skills in client interfacing and project management.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Undertake the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (i.e. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, and water/wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.

    Coordinate the design with review/input from the various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals.

    Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals.

    Assist developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.

    Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications).

    May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.

    May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.

    Participate in constructability review.

    Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.

    Mentor recently hired junior team members on the various facets of municipal infrastructure design.

    Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

    Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering.

    P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O.

    5-7 years of experience in the execution of wastewater infrastructure (sewer pumping stations, booster pumping stations, reservoir and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants) projects.

    Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario considered or equivalent in other Provinces is considered an asset.

    Contract administration experience is considered an asset.
