  • Waterproofing Project Manager

Position: United Roofing Inc is looking to hire a full-time Waterproofing Project Manager for our office in Calgary. The overall task is to manage the day-to-day activity of waterproofing crews to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Our overall operation involves, roofing, traffic coating, cladding, and waterproofing throughout the Calgary area. The typical working hours required are from 6am to 4pm Monday to Friday or as needed to ensure efficiency of all crews, and job sites. Job description: Manage waterproofing crews with roughly six to ten workers per crew. Manage the day-to-day operation of the waterproofing crews and overall. Manage daily activity/request/need of the workforce. Create weekly schedule. Create supplier's PO and pre-start foreman's binder. Review the change order process as required, with the assistance of the project coordinator. Attend every job site at least once a week to review progress, quality, and budget assurance checks. Attend required pre-start or site meetings that require the presence of the PM. Review of the labor budget on ongoing basis and project completion. Work closely with the site superintendent and the project coordinator. Requirements: Have minimum 5 years of waterproofing experience. Previous construction management role experience is an asset. Must be familiar with all type of waterproofing systems. Fluent in English. High computer and documents formatting skills. Safety tickets: CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift, Fit Testing, etc. – Training can/will be provided for the hired candidate, in the course of employment. Valid Driver's License required.     Position: Uni-Crete is looking to hire a full-time Paving Stone/Roofing Foreman for our office in Calgary. This position is responsible for overseeing daily crew operations, coordinating with the division manager or general contractors, and ensuring projects are safely completed on time, on budget and in compliance with contractual requirements and specifications. The foreman is required to adhere to and enforce all company policies, rules and guidelines with crew members. Projects vary from high end residential to large commercial projects. Hours are weather dependent, but the average is around 50 hours per week.
    Job description (not limited to): Providing supervision and clear instruction to all crew members. Ensure work being performed is being done to required standards as per Uni-Crete's procedures and contract requirements. Conduct various meetings with the crew. Keep a record of all meetings/discussions with project owners/clients/consultants and communicate any relevant discussion points to the division manager. Implement, adhere to, and enforce Uni-Crete's safety program/policies and HSE manual. Determine crew requirements as to equipment, material and deliverables, ensure that deficient areas are being addressed and communicated to Division Manager.
    Requirements: Experience in a Foreman role - 3 years required Experience with paving stones and pedestals - 2 years Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Current Class 5 driver's license. Operational knowledge of equipment and tools used for the job. Own tools and PPE. Safety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift and Fit Testing (if required) - Recertification can/will be provided for hired workers, in the course of employment.
