  • Overview PSYCHOLOGIST/PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSULTANT – North Wellington Area Schools Position: temporary, part-time (0.8 FTE, 28 hours/week) psychologist/psychological consultant for Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB). Location: North Wellington Area Schools. This is a 10-month position (Sept–June) with an anticipated end date of June 26, 2026 and potential for extension or earlier end date. Reports to the Manager of Psychological Services and Behaviour Analysts. Note: School location/geographical area is subject to change based on student and system needs. Hours: 0.8 FTE (28 hours per week) Salary details (subject to full-time equivalence and market adjustments): Standard Grid – Base salary: $78,219–$98,447; Labour market adjustment adds to base (range with adjustment: $89,170–$112,230) Additional note: Labour market adjustments may fluctuate based on local market conditions Qualified Ph.D. Grid (Doctoral Degree) – Base salary: $81,985–$102,303; With market adjustment: $99,202–$123,787; adjustments may fluctuate based on local market conditions Responsibilities include comprehensive psychological assessments for elementary and secondary students, crisis and violence threat response, behavioural and mental health consultation, program development, and collaboration with school teams, families, special education services and community agencies. The successful candidate will work with children, school teams, families and community partners. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychological assessments for elementary and secondary students. Respond to urgent needs and crises; contribute to violence threat and mental health response; provide behavioural and educational programming and school-based consultation. Collaborate with children, families, school teams, special education support services and community agencies. Experience and Qualifications Registered Psychologist or Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in clinical/educational psychology (preference given to those with registration); candidates eligible for supervised practice will be considered. Strong knowledge of assessment, diagnosis and intervention planning for learning disabilities, developmental disorders, behavioural issues and relevant child mental health topics. Experience working in a school board or children’s mental health setting is an asset.
