This role will work Tuesdays to Saturdays. The hours of this role will be 11am-7pm. The successful candidate for this role must live in the La Glace/Grande Prairie area and will have to provide their own transportation to and from the landfill for their shifts. This is not a camp position. \n\nThe Landfill Operator position is responsible for operations of solid waste handling in a safe and customer service oriented fashion. The Landfill Operator will be in constant contact with customers and therefore must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service. In this role, the Landfill Operator will be active in setting a good example for Operator Trainees, as such, strong attention to detail is imperative. As a Landfill Operator with us the minimum responsibilities are:\n\n• Landfill safety (i.e. ensuring that all Standard Operating Procedures and safe work procedures are followed. As well as permitting visitors and contractors, completing Hazard Assessments, identifying and tracking hazards, near misses and incidents within the R360 Canada safety tracking program Intelex in a timely manner)
\n • Responsible for proper equipment operation
\n • Responsible for administering scale operations and data entry

\n • Ensuring landfill and building maintenance
\n • Performing general cleaning duties throughout the day
